Please add a proper PVM way to get VP .

Kay: What i dont care about any VP VP, i have over 300k spare on both my mains, what i care about is Battlestation being less of a cap racing festival. It doenst have to be done with introducing PvM way for VPs,there are other means to do it.

I'm tired of people runing around without fighting, and yes it happens, all the time, i just had two 220 Enforcers jumping on my Crat at C yesterday, they capped the point and run away without even looking at me, i was so shocked i forgot to take it back for a good few minutes.

Sometimes there are 2-4 people just coon cap'ing all over the place. Trick is to find the other 4-6 people that will actually engage in some fighting. It's not a behavior that can be prevented unless they finally make it impossible to cap a point with any 1k+ absorbs running.

It can. Very easy to do.

- temporary root upon capping
- hostile debuff upon capping that prevents you from doing again for some period of time
- as someone above said, find some ways of rewarding the killing. for example killing someone could also bump the score.

In my experience, its been just the opposite, ppl capping TOO fast. Morons wanna 4 cap all the time. How am I supposed to get any kills if the match only lasts 4 mins? (BTW, just hit ttl 7/solo kills on my sol the other day, so I spend a "little" time on RK1 BS.)

Nick is right, there are still people who just want VP and thats it. This has always been a complaint from people that do not enjoy PvPing.

If you really thing it's an Engineer only thing then maybe you should look at the Advys, keepers, enfs, fixers, and NTs running around doing it.

If you really want to see it happen beat one side 3 or 4 rounds, after that all they do is attempt to cap and win BS not PvP.

I seem to find a lot of people killing me when i'm on my nt. Assuming they see my leetage and aren't fighting someone else..i usually attract lot's of attention. I see as much capping as killing...

I agree. People attempting to win BS when the goal of BS is to get to 500 points are totally missing the point by not PvPing and doing their best to cap. Another great example of Nick's logic.

Also, your thread title is misleading; your problem isn't VP gain, your problem is people are using the battlestation for it's intended purpose (VP gain) instead of mindlessly blasting each other.

You are confusing purpose with reward.

The purpose of Battlestation is to fight, just like the purpose of APF is to raid , not to loot. Everyone running around mindlessly capping everything like a blind beaver on antibiotics is as far from "intended" as things can possibly get.

Come back when its renamed to CapStation.

id argue, that bs were made with the intent to make ppl pvp, and vps are just a way to reward em, aka bait the pvmers to join the que, make ppl who normally wouldnt even think of goin into a place where they can be attacked by players go there, and even more, make em fight!

and it works/worked, imo thats the biggest achievment of LE, makeing pvp more common

I never stop to fight an engineer (unless engi is ~210).
Most likely I wouldn't win the fight and if I would it would take too much time. The same goes for keepers, some enfos and most doctors.

Simple fix, if you want people to fight you instead of running to cap some point, don't use blockers :]

I actually think you are on to something here, people try to avoid anything that can debuff them... That and enofs just like rushing in, cooconing and capping infront of 4 people, and make it out alive.. i guess it makes them feel uber or something... Ether way... Cocoon capping is annoying as hell!

I know, i know, mechs are in BS so people can move faster from point to point. And turrets are supposed to point newcomers towards control points with a barrel.
