Make the rewards nodrop unique & only those doing the entire dungeon/quest can loot? That way you don't have to buy the item or loot rights from them, you just have to hire them for escorts.Originally Posted by Lusos101

The DD wars thing sounds interesting and potentially fun. (and bump for community-type-content like this)
Beyond that, I have some thoughts/questions on the subject atm.
1. You say "the group with the best team DD will win". Does this mean that if 3 full 6-team-raids are going, then the 6-man-team doing most damage in each raid will earn their entire raid a win? Or is it total damage from the entire 6-team-raids? Is the limit 3 competing 6-team-raids? As in 36 vs 36 vs 36?
2. If people feel "forced" to bring characters that do good DD, will there be easy access to the dead boss for people that wish to log on a char that actually needs loot after the kill has been made?
3. Is the loot going to be completely new? As in, designed for this instance specifically.
I don't expect you to have clear answers to all these questions atm as it sounds like you are still early in the design-stage. Still, these are some of the things I'm wondering about

After thinking about it, I'd like to modify my questions a bit
1. Is it 3 teams versus each other or 3 raids versus each other? As in, 6 vs 6 vs 6 or 36 vs 36 vs 36?
2. Is there a way to get to the boss for loot if you had to use your doc or DD or whatever but needed loot on an MP alt for example?
The questions I asked earlier were a bit "off" because I had it in my head that all 3 teams or raids would be having DD wars on the same exact target. But since it seems all 3 are divided into different areas, then it's only a matter of who finishes their area first, rather than who does most damage on a single target.

So you say all the artists are now landed and in Montreal? I guess I'll have to plan another trip into Montreal to grace them with my awesomeness. (.. errm I mean humble myself before the great pixel gods of AO.) Maybe a quick peek in before lunch so we can all go grab a bite the I'll leave you to your work. Then spend the day wandering the City, I love Montreal.
Mid May sounds like a good target date. I'll give you advance warning of my Mtl visit and this time I'll let the weather decide the best day, I want a hot sunny day where I don't need to drag around a jacket. Foot loose and fancy free is the best way to enjoy Montreal.

It sounds like they have more in mind than just killer faster (pussycat).
Also, lulz at all the peeps (not you, Wrang) that are already complaining about new content that hasn't even been created yet. We are one fricking jaded group here.
I will second the idea that there needs to be new phats in this new area, though. If the dev team is still holding off on introducing new items because you don't want to mess with the re-balancing docs, then hold off on introducing the new area too. Without some new shinies (and I don't mean social items), then new content is largely pointless.
