No graphics device with hardware support

So i had to reinstall AO.
Been away from game for about 6 weeks and now i am getting some time to play,
Only problem is after i login and choose a character to play, i get a Error

I get "No graphics device with hardwaresupport was found using DirectX!
If this is not correct then restarting your computer might help.


I tried to change my Rendering Device but i only have 1 option, to where before i had about 6 options to choose from.

My device right now is "Primary display driver - RGB Emulation

Any ideas or tips on this error would be very nice.
Would like to play again before the Halloween event Leaves.

Ive tried but then i get errors after installing them,

"Setup failed to run installation: (0x80040707)

Any other ideas or tips?

Okay so that worked.

Well i'm out of ideas...

AO launcher only shows 1 display driver and that one wont let me login.

I tried downloading my Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 card from Nvidias website and i get a message saying

The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware.Setup will now exit.

Tried fixing that and no luck yet

Still open for suggestions.

I Uninstalled the graphics driver that was running at the time, and right after i got a pop up saying download new driver.
Restarted computer, and now i can log into ao (:

Same problem here on my notebook. AO worked fine till i recently got this error and there's nothing to get it working again. I tried about everything i could think of, different drivers, any gfx setting i could think of, deleting prefs/ini to get a fresh setting - didn't help.

Win7 here with ATI gfx, changed from Linux hoping to have less issues with AO and now its even worse.

Only reinstalling AO fixes it for a few days, then randomly i get the same error again.. and have to reinstall it all over.

Also have the same problem on Windows XP - Deleted graphics driver - Reinstalled ATI HD4770 Drivers and still same issue - Just reinstall AO atm to see if that makes any difference
