    sometimes being passive wnt get results...

    u guys are the pipeline of communication to the DEVs...if the Devs dnt see u guys or anyone makin valid claims against some of this crap then they gone think its ok..and if the whines and nerf cries keep coming up without valid claims...then we will get nerfed..

    look at le nukes....got advies/crat/fix/enfo/shade/mp/agent/ma crying about them now they gone....

    We have other channels to communicate with the devs than posting in the open debate forums. As you say, we are your channel to the devs, and so of course we use more direct channels so your feedback is not lost in the general static of whining.

    You seriously think the developers would listen to random trolling, instead of what they have already been made aware of by the previous, and current, NT professionals (much less totally disregard their own plan for the profession)? You believe they would take the ideas of flamers, who most often have little to no sense of rationality, and implement them just like that?

    The developers are not imbeciles, they do not need for the same stuff to be shouted in their faces over and over again before it sticks. They are not controlled by the community, they are not controlled by the Professionals, and certainly not by silly trolls who just spew random hate.

    Cheer up Ameratsu... we are getting a new toolset... it's quite exciting actually. And the nano we hate is going to feel the nerf stick... and it won't change before balancing.

    Also, we have plenty good forum pvpers, and they are noisy when needed... the reason they are comparatively silent is that there simply is not much reason nor matter to post about, apart from the fun (which is a good reason alone though ). There is no need to be noisy currently ^^.

    What is interesting, currently, is defining our profession, finding fun ideas etc.

    Just reading thru the thread you would see what able professionals we got, and also not just great players but insightful analysts... ^^

    I joined the forum late although I started out as a doc around 2005, so more or less it fell within the caster group. And when I made an NT, I got to experience the lopsided aspects of the profession, to the point where I decided to participate in the feedback.

    Anyways, sorry about the brief toon bio... Going back to our cabbage: I also noticed that the buffs NTs cast as defense (immunity, izzy, and NS2 ofc) lapse a bit too fast, and I end up rebuffing often in mid-battle. Maybe it is ok as it is, but sometimes, too, I wished some or all could have been made to last a little longer... Just wishful thinking. ^^

    As Masta and the rest have said, with the changes that are coming, observations like mine may well just be, well, comments. ^^ But I've certainly learned a great deal just reading thru the NT threads, and my NT is all the better for it. ^^

    Honestly i loved the concept of glasscannon, less to be 1 button man. But this is dued to lazyness of peoples playing nt (i duelled other nts and few of em casted crown frost and nr debuff and insta starts with triples), and nasty lvl locks.

    I don't see the point of NBG and NS2 now, since double will be nerfed, having 2 reflects/shield dosen't made anysense , u could made just a NBS nano (and maybe made NS2 avaible from a quest, this will stop the "NS2 maffia", i still remember the ga4 maffia that made the price growing from 100m to 1bil).

    About the nano combos/local cooldown, i like the idea, maybe having combos from other prof nanos could be nice (like doc dots interoperating with nt nukes).

    I don't really think any prof should be a glass cannon really, it will always come with a mass of ppl QQing that they need more defense etc. So that concept doesn't really work too much anymore. Look at all the professions, all have decent forms of defense, only prof that I think doesn't have much of any defense is bow MPs (but they have shield option I guess).

    Say what? All the more point in NS2 as it won't be locked out anymore. And who said you can't use them one after the other?

    I just fear changes that comes from whining(lowhp setup noobs whining on forums) more than from a gameplay context.

    There are lots of profession focused on defensive options, (advys fixers soldja etc etc...) nt role in pvp is the nuker, large ammount of damage, some viable defences (NBG/NS2), and quick legs!

    Btw go ahead with this huge mess/remake, at worst we'll go back in void, and we'll be again the gimp Nerds that runs in round with an huge train of mobs on the back...

    i agree...after rebalance patch, nts will really suck..cant see us killin any profession at all.

    Given that we haven't seen any details at all on our new casting system or nuke toolset, I'm failing to see how you can surmise this, outside of a simple pessimistic view. "It changes therefore it's bad."

    I'm sure that the only nt's who would be rendered completely unable to pvp by removing LE nukes are the ones who didn't purchase any other nanos after being kited by the nt's who actually know how to play their toons.

    The rest will still be rooting blinding and NR nuking their targets.
    With offensive focus gone and the root removed, nullity would be much more relevant as well.

    I'd find a sudden decrease in pvp nt's as a strong incentive to play one personally.

    Ameratsu is clearly not reading anything anyone writes and is only in this to flame. Don't both trying to explain or rationalize anything to him/her. As far as the rest of you that worry about NT viability after patch, it's going to be a lot of fun. Even us seasoned veterans are going to have to relearn the profession again.

    What we get (In a patch update arrangement):

    - LE Nukes taken away
    - As a side-effect, Offensive/Defensive focus's will be removed or extremely different.
    - In place of LE nukes we are getting "Nano-Weaving" Nukes.
    - At End-game you will Nano-Weave with 3 different "lines" of nukes.
    - All Nano-weave Nukes will be INSTA Cast with their OWN lock out timer.
    - This means NT's can do damage while simultaneously blinding/rooting/calming/casting abosrb/NS2 since our will not have the traditional "recharge" function that we have today. There will be no yellow recharge bar locking us out of casting our defensive nanos during a nuke because of the new local cool-down system.


    - Nullity Sphere line reduced in time, but root has been removed.
    - On top of 3 Nano-Weaving lines, we are potentially getting 3 DoT lines as well.
    - RK DoT's being line A (hopefully increased, no word yet)
    - AI DoT's being line B with a shorter duration and lower damage. Also, the extra damage it does per nuke will be removed
    - Potential Line C from a Nano-Weaving effect.

    - ALL BUFF LINES WILL BE EXTENDED
    - PNH/IOR/Mockery/Absorbs will all be extended to all leveling ranges

    -AOE's will be extended to all leveling ranges
    - Possibility they could be part of the nano-weaving process.

    - People will no longer have access to 100%+ blind resistance.
    - Reduced duration for both pvp and pvm

    -Calms AND Roots will have faster casting and will be more fuctional in SL.
    -Side Note: I personally hope that means combining all three lines (RK/Empowered/Specialized) into ONE.

    - Damage-to-Nano will be hard-capped under 100%.


    Pretty sure I hit all the updates that we are allowed to release. Perhaps a list like this will make it easier to read, although I thought masta's post was fine.

    Good summary, though we should note that the Nanoweaving stuff is still in early stages, and we don't know anything about whether it'll be 3 or 8 nanos but of course we'll not want to have too many combinations of things to keep track of.

    Ahh interesting.

    And the changes on DoTs could be fun. On my sorceress in Warhammer i went for DoT line- for pvp (the other two lines are regular nukes one and AoE one)- and i love every min of it. Those that whined in AO about doc triple DoT have no idea haha- for some reason Order really don't like when DoTs take them from full to 0 hp in 4-5 sec or so.

    One thing that i would really love to see in AO would be a working AoE though. Which practically speaking didn't happened in AO since a little after SL went live (SB/OB not including).

    Though for all this to really matter AO kinda needs an open pvp (or at least 25%) zones that people will actually have to enter. Again giving Warhammer as example, see Land of the Dead- top raiding pvm zone- which is open rvr (25% gas all the time in AO terms)- makes those pvm raids alot more interesting.
