can we rename existing characters with this command, or is it only characters with new IDs like R12345666 etc

Was there a time limit for this. One toon on a FROOB account won't let me change the name. Or are FROOB accounts not allowed to change
I was able to change my froob's name immediately after teh merge; I can't imagine that things have changed.
Off-topic: I hope the devs do another name purge at some point: I'd like o use the pad name change service. The name I want is already in use and does not exist on RK5.

It took a few days for mine to hit. Id say if you arent seeing a change in a week, petition it.
Name can't be taken. And it's rather weird effect that toons don't show up if they aren't activated.

That's something I've noticed too. If a character hasn't been activated since the merge, the name shows up as "no such user" in a Helpbot whois. But the character does show up in People of Rubi-Ka on the AO homepage.
