    i agree with the warnings 6 hours is'nt enough, 7days would be ok but i think 24 might be acceptable, i think 30days is really to long as it is so sometime between 1-7 days sounds reasonable, perhaps a happy medium would be 3days (72hours)

    as for the shops, instanced cities will be a boon for farmers, this will also help out small orgs with no city already but lets face it this is farmer gold.. i still think this is a good idea, i just hope they have some massive structure that LOOKs like it could hold a bunch of citites.. perhaps a very tall tower reaching far into the sky with pod like branches coming off of it with glass domes with some citites (not nessarly actual ones these can be static) but just to give the impression that YES this structure could hold many cities..

    do not cheap out and make it a door or a portal to no where or in the side of a mountain, you could just as easily make it sub terrain but come on thats another easy way out.

    although the idea of 2 different zones to pick for underground or above ground plot would be cool.. the structure should have some sort of area to explorer.. not just a door (heres your city) sub terrain cities could have rock skys.. not as high.. above ground (pod) type plots could have domed glass sky.

    now there is the very serious matter of shops.. this is a very important feature for a city.

    borrowing from brampfine.. i had the same idea before i read his but i wanna give credit.

    i suggest a new neutral city to be made.. this would be a good size city focused on trading.

    the city should have a very large building that will house 1000's of shops, this would be an entirely new interior building not a reused city shop.. it would have 5 floors..

    floor1: main lobby to gather and be social, there would also be an elevator (mini whompah) leading to each of the other 4 floors)
    floor2: automated shops basic/adv/superior.. should have several of each and also treatment station
    floor3: neutral player terminals
    floor4: clan player terminals
    floor5: omni player terminals

    having them on separate floors means you can keep sides separate no omni buying off clan and such.. currently the other sides shops kick you out and i think thats the way it should be.

    the city should also have a new club/bar for parties.. perhaps call it something like "club barter"

    along with a few regular shops and street vender's, bronto burger, mongol meat, etc, perhaps some npc's with small quests or telling story/history.. i always liked these flavor npc's

    i'd also like to see a classic RK vehicle dealership much like the phasefront dealer on new land lake, but dealing with yalms, kodiaks and other RK classic vehicles.

    there should be a building with a new ingame company created.. that deals with shipping.. im not sure if there is currently one in the game history if so use it.
    perhaps "silvertail express"

    anyway this shipping company would have 2 purposes..
    1. it would give repeatable missions to curry a package somewhere..

    there could be 2 versions 1 for rk only. or 2 for shadow land delivery.

    your job would simply be to take package A to location B, however depending on how hard a job you ask for you might have to deliver some where dangerous.. this would require a series of NPC's to be created either static or dynamically (of course there would be a time limit on these missions) to deliver them to.

    these missions could give some xp or credit reward, perhaps they could be more elaborate then what i've purposed but it's a starting point.

    2. a new "drop box" feature would be added to the game.
    pretty simple each player would have a drop box with 21 slots (1 back pack worth)
    of course backpacks could also be dropped in it so it would hold more then the actual 21.. think of it like a 2nd bank..

    however the special thing about these drop boxes is anyone can drop them off to you and you can claim them.. think of it like a reverse shop.. instead of selling items you pick them up.. you enter the players name you want to deposit the item in, of course you should be able to also password protect it if you like to keep from just anyone filling up your box.

    the service should be free for drop offs at that location (or perhaps the box owner pays a small fee like 1ml in rent for the box).. OR for a fee the shipping company will place it in the "universal" dropbox system.. then convert all reclaim terminals into dropbox pick up terminals.. the person dropping the item off pays the fee and you can pick it up at any of the old reclaim terminals.. again this is the more easier pay per item service the drop off only at the shipping companies building will be free, you'll just have to pick it up there personally instead of at a reclaim terminal.

    there should also be a small outpost of ICC guards with a commander.. this commander could hand out quests but his real purpose will be explained next, for the sake of this suggestion we'll call him "commander broodwick" hope there is'nt one already in game sounds familure.

    in addition to all this the city should also have a bank, i know there is one in jobe, thing is you can't enter or rob it. that always disappointed me.

    so since this is a trading city it should have a bank to hold all the money.
    the bank it self will be only of minor importance perhaps you could have some teller npc's that talk to you and can open your bank for you.. perhaps some scripted npc's could be walking around doing things in the bank.

    i would suggest the possibility of allowing credit transfers but i dont think anyone will go for that with all the spam on OOC about buying selling credits these days.

    anyway the real magic is behind the tellers counters.

    the outside city will be patrolled by ICC, but the bank will be guarded by omni troops.. and in the back by the vault namely by unicorns, very very amped up uber unicorns.

    they wont agg anyone unless they go behind the tellers counter.

    this would be a new raid..

    anyone going behind the counter will catch agg by any unicorns insight..

    also a really powerful one will guard the vault it self.. and there will be a bank manager also, the manager will have a 1000HP dmg shield, and wont agg unless attacked.

    as soon as the primary vault guard (unicorn specialist?) is attacked a special 6 hour flag is enabled on the attacker, the flag also makes the players name red, a planet wide alert is sent out that "xxx" has attempted a robbery, anyone talking to "commander broodwick" can grab a mission to kill anyone with this flag.. attacking a person with the 6hour robbery flag does not flag you but you do need to be in pvp range of course.

    this flag will not clear on death and has some other special properties.
    while you have this flag you can not enter grid, you will be imediatly ejected from the grid if you try to use it and be dropped off at the broodwicks guard post at the city.. where of course you will be attacked.. fgrid will still work as it's a underground network anyway, you also will not be safe even in your own sides cities as even same side guards will attack on sight, after all you ARE a wanted criminal.

    you can kill them without the mission but the mission will do two things..

    1. it will give some xp/and bounty, the bounty is proportionate to how far they got, just attacking unicorn will only give a small xp reward (to small to be worth abusing)..
    if they kill the unicorn the reward goes up plus a small bounty.
    if they loot some of the vault it goes up again.. if they loot the entire vault it will go up more yet.

    2. killing and collecting the bounty on the robber will give you credit not only for pvp but also on a score board (most wanted) inside the "commander broodwick" guard post with a high score of most robberies, and most bounties collected.
    so it's also a matter of glory to see how many robberies you can get away with as well as collect on the bounty, total epeen thang.

    the score board will be as followed
    1pt for killing vault guard
    2pt for looting silver
    3pt for looting gold
    4pt for looting platinum

    this scoring applies to both robbers and bounty hunters.

    every 2 minutes 2 lessor ICC guards will spawn at the entrance and head for the attackers, these wont be to hard to kill for 200+ players these are mostly an annoyance to complicate the already difficult to deal with vault guard and buy time until bounty hunters (players) show up.

    once the unicorn is killed a mission will upload that lets you talk to the bank manager who will open the vault, inside there is a cache of special silver,gold,and platinum ingots.. the mission the vault manager uploaded to them allows them to loot the ingots.

    these special ingots will have no shop value because they are marked with the banks seal and serial number making them impossible to sell to venders for credits, except the fixer shop which will accept them for half of their true value.

    silver 2m, gold 3m, platinum 5m..

    in order to get the full value and make them untraceable for sell to regular shops they would need to be melted and recast by a TS process.

    if you are killed while the 6 hour flag is active 3ml credits will be deducted from you and a hostile debuff will be cast in your NCU reducing all skills by 100pts for 6 hours (it will not clear on death)


    let me know what you think i know it all sounds very grand and complex but i think it would add some flavor to the game at the same time solving the market problem with instanced cities.

    oh i like this idea, it will make travel very easy because we as players can get together and put a junk item in the gms at say 1bl, so it will never be bought..
    we could start a thread to organize each zone could get it's own unique junk item so youc an easily search for the zone you wanna travel to. then just click a few items to get the city closest to where you wants, and bam instant warp.. hell it'll probably beat fgrid and be almost as good as a eng warp.

    i disagree, in fact i see all to often clan and omni hanging out like they're family.. far to few people actually care about their side these days and are most likely one side or the other because 1. specific gear they want, or 2. friends

    if anything this game needs more conflict between sides not less, but people whine.. there is a war going on but you would never know it.

    thats the way it should be, who ever is organizing and putting up the cru deserves the loot rights, this is the rule in nearly all orgs as well, so even in all org raids the one putting the up cru is entitled to it.

    wow that would be just plain evil, i would assume if you're in a org though you should trust your prez, if they can't be trusted they should be the leader or you should'nt be in it but ya this could happen.. im sure it would destroy the org but it could happen.

    agreed, i've been screwed over a few times in this game, as upsetting as it is FC can't protect you from other players actions that are underhanded.
