17.10.2 and third party maps

Do NOT change the maps that come with the game, ONLY third party maps.

In 17.10.2 the map definition file format has changed and any third party maps need to be updated for them to work:

• Exit the game.
• Find the map definition file (for example <anarchy directory>\cd_image\textures\PlanetMap\Dovves\Dovv esMap.txt) and open it in a text editor.
• After the Name and Type lines add:

  CoordsFile MapCoordinates.xml

• Save the file.
• Start the game and select the third party map.

Thank you very much for implementing this feature, it is much appreciated.

This really opens up new ways of making maps, since you can now make a map for a specific purpose (say, a own map for describing how to do the inferno sanctuary quest, etc), and only enable tracking on the zones you are interested in.
All in all, it makes it easier for people to make the character tracking feature work properly on their maps.

isnt dovve's set to default? that was the first (or one of..) 3rd party map widely used.

course.. i've been using my own updated version of it since she stopped maintaining it. (and i've never cared for the huge 6000meg maps of recent years).

They are wherever you define them to be realtive to the folder the map is in
