Well, auto-nuke would be stuff like we discussed many times in the past, a.e. you select some nuke that is then auto-cast continually, untill you select some other nuke. I can see how australian ping could be an issue with more activity required than we have now, but not sure if there's any way to fix that with more sped up things outside of moving out of Australia :|
While everything seems to be in flux and ideas are flying - may i just make this suggestion again.
With the exception of doing something awesome that would take a solid stance, can i please be able to run and execute nanoprograms at the same time.
Perhaps using the simple logic of "If i can insta-cast it; i can do it while running"
That way it can be impossible for larger nanos and an attainable goal for other nanos.
so... anyone remember how perking into ancient matrix affects ai dots? i think it'd be a pretty sweet idea incorporating that concept into nukes and have it play a much bigger role than it currently does... i'd also like to see something done about the fact that attack rating isn't used for much at all right now, and i'd like to see matter creation skill among other things play a bigger role in setups. widen the gap between defensive and offensive setups imo.
We need something that smells like an NT!

I would really LOVE revisions a.k.a. reductions in the cast/recharge times currently in place as it would help you do other stuff, too, like loot corpses, and not wait 4 or 5 seconds like a useless spectator, especially in the thick of action where everyone else is doing something except you.
The idea of being able to launch several nukes at a time or sequentially due to nuke-specific cooldowns would be a real progress. Hopefully, too, this would acquire target-specific lockdowns, where they can be re-cast on other targets while cooling is happening on a first target, but without closing other nukes/roots/calms to be launched. This way they would behave like perks, except that they can be re-launched on other targets after the first one. This would definitely give the tool-set a more effective dimension, mass damage-wise, beyond plain and simple AoE nukes.
What may be remarkable about this feature is that it can provide the defining mark of weapon-wielding profs against none-weapon wielding ones (i.e., pure casters). Weapons pick targets one at a time, whereas nukes can float on several targets at once. And while at it, why not make multiple (combat) target bars?
On the defense side, hmnm, derooting NS2 and reducing cooldown on it would really be nice.^^ And I agree that blinds should get a tune-up, since there isn't much in the arsenal for NT defense. The offensive-defensive focus knot can probably get a rethinking in terms of how it works in the martial arts. I mean, in a samurai duel, you are most vulnerable when you attack, and maybe we could see something along that path, but in terms of strategic moments, and not in terms of time lock-outs like what we have now. For example, your NR or AC would go down by a % when casting specific nukes, opening you to GTH or other debuffs/perks, but would go back to normal after the nuke is done. Just an idea...

It would be nice to see some combinaison require more than one NT, so that having two or more NTs in a raid/team would bring more than just what they can do alone. Not necessarily something like an orbital strike, but something.

I wouldn't be able to resist either.
gotta lub teh noob :)
Another thing that came to mind concerning NT defense: LOS. In PvM at least--barring exploits on landscape like nuking from a bridge or on top of hills--if you are on a mob and you choose to run around a stone or pillar (s10 normal mobs, Inner Sanctum mobs) to avoid damage momentarily, the mob would reset its HP. This is true for all players, and it is not prof-specific. I don't know if it would be too much to ask some kind of work on this. It would give squishy toons (even after the best setup or buffs) a moderate strategic option in any PF.
It would be acceptable for the mob to reset its HP if you really went hiding too long. It is also acceptable for the mob to gain back a little of its HP... But if you're in combat, and the mob goes back to 100% HP just because you made a turn or two around a rocky formation to avoid a few hits, then you could say there's a problem. I'm not sure how this can work out without getting exploited or abused; yet it also goes against basic combat sense if you can't have a moderate or fair use of the landscape for some defense, or offense.
Some could have probably encountered that in Ely. I did all my NT leveling in RK tbh, so I have no experience for that zone. ^^
The NT play style involves a lot of running about (unless in NS2), vs. tank profs who can just hold a stance most of the time. This mode of play would have more constraints in small spaces, which the use of obstacles to LOS can compensate for. This would at least give NTs better maneuverability beyond the stereotypical big "kiteable" spaces.
If LoS effect be applied on nukes – NT never kill no1 in LoS riched area. NEVER!
Or decrease cast time on nukes to 0.5 sec or instacast
Although it hasnt been directly stated, I am assuming we are losing Mastablasta's AOE, arent we? Since it's an LE nuke with reflect piercing, although it never really hurt pvp.
We also were told we'd get AOE support for all levels, so ...
