ARK Expo Reaction Thread!

The ARK Expo on Atlantean & Rimor is now over! I'll keep this thread sticky for you all to link your screenshots, tell stories, or whatever about the ARK Expo 29477! {August 15th & 16th of 2003}

I'll update later with info and fun stuffs {if possible.}

Recap: What happened? Who was out there?
- Cz was out there.
- GM Lucien was out on both days (ARK Manager), shout out to him for giving a thumbs up on ARK Expo.
- ARKs from every department: bug hunters, events, CR, etc. were out talking to people.
- Loads upon loads of people to fill area servers on both Dims.
- Morphed ARKs as: pumpking heads, yuttos, brain dog, and more.
- Lighting effects.
- Prizes galore! Jobe T-Shirts, Teddy Bears, and more.
- LIVE Music By Gridstream: We even had ARK AgtOrange DJing live with Tarryk.

Anyways, I of course had the enjoyment of stalking AgtOrange half way accross RK, which he clearly made obious on GSP.

Before the party initially started I toyed around with some ARKs standing around in ICC. So far things have been really fun with stuff like the race of lucien vs agtorange, but Lucien hax and won.

I was glad to be able to attend an event like this. The party at Reets was so nicely marked out by tge fire and stones path. The path was beautiful. Wow to the Dancing Atroxes ! . Later on i went to ICC and walked around. Just by doing that i learned alot
from the conversations. Hats off to you people!

I agree, BEST ONLINE PARTY EVER! Everything was excellent, from the decorations to the entertainment, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Thank you, Advisors of Rubi-Ka, for being so in tune with the players and throwing what is sure to be known as "The Party" for years to come. Please, plan more of these events in the future(and be sure to get GridStream Productions for the music! h00t h00t!). It is things like this that make AO the best online game in existence. Period.

Great party and good decoration! I was unable to attend the expo, due to the timezone.

Only issue with it all was the lag. Hope you find a solution to it when the party hits Rimor. *smiles*

What an event!!! I was there, I witnessed it all
I decided to head to the party early and I'm glad I did because the lag started to build up pretty fast.

Ever stayed online with 3.5 million ping? I did and that's a really weird feeling. LOADS of peeps showed up at Reets. I spent most of my time scouring for all the ARK's and taking their picture.

I think 100 ARK's showed up in total and I got pics of about 60 of them (I think) Do I get the award for snapping the most ARK's?

Highlight of the party (if you COULD party that is, lag was really bad) was this giant UBAH female that showed up called Buffies.
Now most players know about the Buffy legend, there was even supposed to be a shrine to her near SG at Tir, but to see THE actual Buffy (God of Leets) show up in person was amazing!!!

She was really tall, had the scariest looking head and wore what I can only estimate as being Shadowlands armour.

Also at the party was some people from Gridstream Productions, unfortunately I could not hear anything but I'm sure the music was great.

Afterwards I headed off to the ICC for the expo and Buffies promoted a few ARK's in a short ceremony. After that the ARK's split up into sections.

The BEST thing at the expo was the 2 GIANT leet ARK's
One of them was really playful and cuddly and the other was a bit shy but still very cuddly

Overall I think it was MASSIVE, I never seen anything like it before and I don't think we ever will again.

First i wanted to enter in Reet Retreat , and a big and tall atrox begin to put his shoes on my head.

Oh i disliked this , so i took my rifle and decided to reproduces the fight David Vs Goliath.

Ok i was a bit drunk and used some mushroom before to go to party and i missed a lot.

Just been at the Expo on Rimor, I loved every second of it. So much to see, so many people dressing up in strange clothes, people dancing and drinking and talking. ARK`s everywhere entertaining and answering questions.

I had such a wonderful time, I took some pictures, but I dont have any webpage so I cannot post anything...sigh..

The Santa Leet was the winner, and I managed to snap a picture of two ARK`s in a rather "Intimate" postition!! I had to laugh when I took it, it was probably not intentional, but right there it was a gold shot!

Anyway, I loved it. Getting a bit too sleepy to stay for more, but I thank FC for giving us a super time!

First time I've ever saw CC at work inside a building before, I think there were like 300 people at reets in one GS. The one time in ICC a bunch of us got warped out to galway was an ark standing there to warp us all back

Got to take some surveys which were cool and here some funniest moments ark stories.

Took a grip of screenies, but alot of what I took other have allready posted above, ala morgan lefaye buffies ark slayer hehe-my favorite.

Put a much better perspective on the arks as people and not just chat macro scripts.
