IRRK: Explosions rock Last Ditch
July 24th, 29488 - [Global]
Last Ditch was rocked by a pair of early morning explosions.
Early today, Last Ditch was rocked by a couple of loud explosions. ICC Peacekeepers in the area rushed to the scene, and found two different storage facilities engulfed in flames. Firefighting forces were quickly brought in to get the flames under control, but the contents of both warehouses appear to be a complete loss. At the time of the explosion, both buildings were empty of personnel, and no one appears to have been injured in these blasts.
According to ICC sources, preliminary investigations indicate that the explosions were the result of accumulated gas that had apparently been leaking from faulty valves. Both warehouses had the same valve type (Os Industries, serial 90ssXa14 29475 issue). The ICC immediately ordered a review and inspection of any other similar valves in use in Last Ditch. They did not find issue with any of the remaining valves of this class still in service in the area.
Our staff reviewed records, and found the warehouses in question were leased by TDS, Inc. Their contents were listed as general goods comprising of tools and clothing. Nothing had been registered of a potentially volatile or explosive in nature.
Attempts to reach James Jimmenson, the president of record for TDS Inc, for comment were unsuccessful.
