    Issue with the new "gift" building

    My org and I succesfully built the new building, but we cant plant it in city:s, we see the rotate and delete button but the construct building stay grey , we tried to build a tree it's the same , anyone have this type of not being able to plant anything issues? petitioned and GM said:

    [Averillian]: Unfortunately we have no inforamtion on why this is not working correctly.
    To [Averillian]: argh so we spent all the day farming for nothing or this might be fixed and usable after it got fixed?
    [Averillian]: I will send a report to my superior asking for more information. Howver at this time there is nothing more I can do to help with this issue. It should just work, also I have no way to force the building to build itself.

    Check if you have any buildings that overlap onto areas where they shouldn't; that seems to disable building any new stuff. My org had this same issue and it looks like others do too: http://forums.anarchy-online.com/sho...3&postcount=99

    I'd guess that this affects quite a few orgs with old cities. It's just that most of the affected orgs have not tried to build anything new in years until now.

    If this is the case for you, you can probably fix the issue yourself by just removing the offending building(s). You'll be out the cost of the destroyed buildings, but that might be worth avoiding the multi-day, multi-petition merry-go-round until the stars align just right for a GM to help you.

    Ahh, this is exactly what I have too.

    We have 2 overlapping buildings, Skybar and Cafe.

    Guess I need to replace them

    There's been bug with Sky Bar's city placement for years now... it takes more space than it should. I remember running into same problem few years back when I was changing some buildings in our org's city.

    The "problem" was that originally it was a simple 2x3 or 2x4 block, then they adjusted it to take the ball part into account and the layout changed, even for buildings already placed.

    Seems the cafe was extended by 1 row too.

    This thread answered my question as to why I cant place a huge box somewhere

    But it seems Funcom doesn't want to reimburse me the cafe that THEY broke? Had to convince Ophyr (of all arks?) that this is an issue that warrants a GM spawning a copy of the offending building in question so we can move the damn thing.
