Omni-Pol visits Borealis, amuses locals
By Wob Wusi
October 2, 29483 - Borealis - A group of senior Omni-Pol officers patrolled Borealis yesterday in yet another attempt to maintain the illusion that the city is Omni-Tek property, but failed to be taken seriously by local residents.
The officers requested from random citizens on the street the production of ID cards, and while numerous Omni-Tek employees naturally complied, neutral citizens and those who are aligned with the Clans refused to recognize their authority.
Kernelpanic, a Borealis native and “neut 4 life”, was fined with a ticket for mooning the Omni-Pol officers after ignoring repeated requests to produce his ID card. “They insisted Omni-Pol was trying to make the city safe, which is funny because Borealis is as safe a city as it gets this side of the planet. I thought to myself, ‘cool, free movie ticket’ because, seriously, what else could it be? Don’t they know their so-called tickets don’t mean a thing to us, neutrals?” the amused nano-technician said.
Other bystanders could not help but wonder why Omni-Pol wasn’t keeping other cities such as Athen or even their own facilities “safe”, but did not receive a meaningful comment.
