Anyway as much as I like pistols.. I really don't want them for my crat. I am all for the briefcase option. (NOT A MELEE WEAPON)

My briefcase should come with a built in spider mine laying device, and a semi-automatic pistol mechanism stowed away in the bottom. With a temporal pocket access to my bank of course!

Crat only solution ftw... oh yeah and make the weapon right click-able for various functioning modes. So we could use the spider mine device (drops lots of those little SL Adv burners looking things or a land mine but they go boom when you get close using duck explosions skill) The pistol mode, a sniper rifle mode.. and based all on Psychology + Special dmg such as AS, etc..

Give it up, your just trying to push threw something that would be beneficial to YOU without any regard for game balance, also you forget the fact that everyone (almost including melee advys) have to choose between PvM and PvP today... Different perks, different weapons, different equips etc etc etc...

Oh and as for you "only" wanting to be able to preform in both PvM and PvP at the same time its pretty clear that its not your real motivation...
You want a AS pistol because you know damn well that using 2 pistols will allow you not only to keep your AS but also to have stuns proc more often hence your asking for a improvement in your PvP toolset (im actually going to go out on a limb here and assume that you have taken some of my previous points about crats to your heart) and as you described you will also have (allot) higher AR with pistols then a say a bow hence you will improve your chances to stunproc even more.
So in conclusion your OP is you asking for you to become allot better in PvP even tho you admit that you don't need to because you are average already..

Yes you are right almost every profession has to make a choice. However, I do not agree with "THAT" being the "CHOICE" we make in AO.. To PVP or To PVM.. That is the question..

No I want options within both that work for both. That means I could elect to go into both PVM and PVP with the same exact setup both functioning optimally but have the choice of styles in how I approach "BOTH AT ONCE".

I am not sure if this is what sterva is getting at but I agree with the point of his that it is high time that PVM != PVP setups came to an end in this game and real choices in setups began.

Oh yeah. One last thing.. Everyone knows pets are both uber damage and a liability in team situations making pet professions slightly unique in this PVP vs PVM options.

Sure. But a fixer really shouldn't worry about that. I mean, you could root my pets and it's pretty much a standstill if I'm sneaking. I guess I still underestimate how little you know about pvp, lol.

Im going to firstly refer to the edit i just did in my last post (so Sterva doesn't miss it :P)

And yes we would all love to have other choises but as i often say when i argue with certain people from another political ideology then me: "You cant create laws after how you think that society should be while ignoring the way it is."

Ie: You cant make employment laws ignoring sexual discrimination only because you think that people shouldn't be discriminated because of there gender when they in fact are.

Or: You cant give crats a AS pistol ignoring the fact that everyone else have to make choices on to PvP or PvM just because you don't think people should have to make that choice. (Temporary ignoring the fact that it would be somewhat OP..)

I bump this, only if theres one drawback to using it. It would not ever hit regular hits on someone, but can have the AS, that way it is viable in pvp as a non-evade special attack, but you couldn't use regular hits to initiate stun procs, thats what i think the drawback for having AS should be when it comes to Bureaucrats, purely opinion, don't freak the hell out.

I would but to be quite honest. It simply is not worth my un-employed by funcom time to put that much effort in to a game suggestion. It could be done. But I will be the first to admit when I know little on a profession and would not feel qualified to do a blanket suggestion of that type alone. If one of each of the major PVM/PVP players from each profession wanted to get together with each other and me to create a think-tank on how each profession should/could be handled to accomplish this then I would be more than happy to collaborate on such a project and do a formal presentation of the finished suggestion.

The main reason I have not already, beyond my own limited knowledge of how to play every profession in every situation, done this is it would have to be written offline as a collaboration and posted in final form otherwise it would just be trolled to death in a bad way. I love when certain people troll/flame me because everyone knows they are tools so it is good sport. But I do not like being flamed by serious posters on serious ideas and try to keep the two separated <every troll likes to have fun once in awhile not always serious ya know>.

What about giving an average PvP pistol with a charm proc?
A new line, Charm 3 or whatever, a VERY short duration (like... 5 seconds...) and only works against Player Pets
It's not gonna take down any enforcers, but it will be annoying as hell against pet profs who not only have another person attacking them but also have their pet's NCU wiped (bwahaha yes all us Crats are EVIL).
