Well hellz yea i do!
Its a damn overkill, and with NT's massacre pvm dd a team of NT's will be able to OD a team of shades
This is unacceptable!

Actually, you are completely wrong.
Effective Damage Output is a simple function of damage dealt and elapsed time. Anyone with half a brain should be able to tell what kind of damage output is possible here, and as usual for NTs, the excessive amount of time to deal it required.

NTs, like shades, should be top tier PvM damage dealers. They bring little else to the table, and it's part of the stated intention for the profession.
Hlep gnak!
agree.. NTs, Shade, Agents should be on top... now hunt me for mentioning agents ^^
NT power is in pvp. There pvm nukes and survivability is pretty much crap, ever tried lvling one without an enf mongo'ing and a doc healing 24/7? NT's are fine pvm wise.
This is utterly untrue, NT's offer basically limitless nano to all members of the team, allowing the enf to mongo more , (at lower lvs) the doc to heal more, and so on and so forth. And while I dont know about you having a basically unlimited amount of nano (imo) is a LOT to bring to the table (at least at tl5)
the dd chain (as I believe it to be) is Shade>MA>Sold and the only reason sold is up there at all is because of 12s FA and hitting 1.5k consistently with it. Agents are good fight starters but having AS capped at 12k extremely limits there ability to fight high hp mob's In pvm the dmg should cap out to be around 20-30k to give agents good enough dd (though even with this there is problems with low hp/highly desired mobs such as mesh/preds/other low dyna's/named mobs) As said before nt's are fine and shades, shades will allllwaaayysss be top pvm'ers (they can solo zod's now) until they get some serious pvp love.
first of , AS cap is at 13k....
second off, you might wanna reread the topic and what has been posted.. its not about how the current dmg chain is atm, but how its supposed to be in point of view by people and profession desciptions (tho those are old and not even developers cant tell no more what professions are intended to do..lol)
And what agents ned to do more dmg in PVM has allready pointed out more then once (re ASing ect)
A NT is a caster class, and just like in all mmorpgs i can imagine, they are found in top of dmg chain 2gether with rogue classes (accordingly shade / agents are thoose rogue classes in ao)
agree about forgetting MAs in there tho, youre right, thoose should be in top 5 as well

It's visible spam. The effect is extremely obnoxious.
Screwed over for the last time.
Go find a new game to play, this one no longer deserves respect.
As far as I remember NT's have always been intended to be top damage dealers... That's why the first toon I ever rolled in AO was a NT actually, since I found that to sound pretty cool....
Never played him beyond lvl41 tho, but that's another story![]()
What exactly are you saying here? Good in pvp, bad in pvm, but fine in pvm?
Vg you automatically assume things are the same at tl5 as they are at tl7. Even so, your saying the primary function of NT's is to give nano to teammates? At tl7 nt's reset those team aura perks because they interfere with casting. Once other professions get 2s nanodelta tick they hardly need an NT around. So what do nt's have to offer to a team then? Mediocre damage, a couple of buffs most people don't need, and calming ablity (which can further lower damage output, and is hardly needed doing easy inf's). I'd have to do some digging, but many years ago I recall NT's were supposed to be excellent damage dealers.
NTs supposed to be glass cannons as well but, duh...

Having leveled an enf mostly before pocketing became a real issue, I know from experience that PNH/IOR start up being very useful, bump down to convenient at Genius 2, then go via unnecessary later before ending up as an utter waste of NCU in an endgame tanking setup.
I tend to get bored with docs around TL4, but I recall that after Genius 2 at 110, NT buffs were simply not needed for spamming LE, and thus the first to go whenever I was NCU limited.
I'd say the NT "limitless nano" toolset retains some value long enough to level TL5 BS twinks, but as someone whose primary focus is endgame PvM, I stand by my statement: Besides damage and dirty jokes[1], NTs bring next to nothing to the table. Their unique useful use in endgame PvM is to pierce the reflects on some mobs. I'd much rather have NTs get a universally useful non-damage toolset, but I realize this is much harder than just plain damage.
[1] And for someone who's required to hit 1 every few seconds, it's really difficult to tell dirty jokes.
Hlep gnak!
You're what? Level 20?
I reached level 220, and was excited because I finally got the last 20% of my DD that I can only unlock by leveling, and not by twinking as other profs can, so I ran DD on my first 220 mission, and I was keen on doing a lot of damage, but I was easily OD'd by a 215 MA. That made me sad.
Before I crunch numbers, I don't think this will be a big enough boost to get us near top of DD-chain, which is ridiculous, since we have basically no other capabilities than damage. And it is way too situational to be a good boost (since we need to land AI-dot first, which we need to have AI 24 to cast. Ugh).
Seriously, just because something actually is a near-decent boost does not mean you have to whine and ask for it to get nerfed. Seriously.
