First of all, I am sorry for the recent Channel 2 outage. It happened all so suddenly I did not have time to make any alternate support arrangements. It should be back to normal now.
But on to the main point, which is to announce a policy change for the CH42. This was actually agreed at a Greencloak meeting bout a month ago, though I may have been a bit slow at publicising it.
As of now, roleplayers using Channel 42 can also use the bot to help organise non-roleplaying activities like teaming and raiding. This can span from teams which stay in character and deal with the mission as though it were part of a story to teams that are entirely ooc which might included players from multiple factions.
This is bases on the notion that roleplayer often enjoy the company of fellow roleplayers, even if not necessarily staying in character. But it also seems like a good way to strengthen the roleplaying community (figuratively and literally).
All I ask is that people use common sense. Don't spam the channel with LFG requests or details about where everyone should meet if there is a in-character conversation in progress (Why you looking at my like that? It could happen!).
I've updated the welcome message on CH42 to reflect this.
