Websites are just like any other popular media. They see a bandwagon, they jump on it. The funny thing is that this whole "AO has been salvaged and is a totally working, bug free game" illusion came from one thing and for one reason.
PC Gamer made AO the MMOG of the year. Something I'm sure you all have seen anytime you've been within 300 miles of an AO product. I'm suprised they didn't put "AO the MMORPG of the year!" as our default sigs on the forum.
The TRUELY funny part is that the only reason AO got it was because of Vederman and Chuck from PC Gamer. They both played up to about lvl40 and from that they made it the game of the year.
I'd really like to see them play in the higher end game.
