Server problems again tonight?

Alright, I've got 2 paid accounts running on here and so far tonight both have been disconnected randomly over and over again. Not both at the same time, just one, then another, etc. Friend of mine I'm running mishes with is having the same problem half a country away (so I know it's not a local or ISP issue). What's the status this week FC? Last weekend didn't score you any points either. Hope it's not all the cred farmers on fr00b accounts screwing the server load, if that's the case, end the free play.

Same here in the UK. Disconnects every few minutes on different accounts and different times.

The ISP of FC seems to have some heavy routing problems. Alot of players are getting lded every few minutes. So don´t blame FC for it and hope Savvis can fix it fast

It's good ol savvis (funcom's ISP) again, if you do a trace route during one of the lag spikes youll notice that the packets start getting lost just after Washington D.C. ,thats the savvis new jersey router and its ALWAYS acting up. I'm getting pretty close to starting a petition for FC to get a new isp if it does any good. A few months back I had a number of people post trace routes from multiple ISPs during the lags and they all cut out at the same savvis router. Yet funcom still insists that there was nothing wrong on their end and it had to be us. On top of this I've called Savvis myself a few times and they refuse to be of any assistance because "You aren't our customer" Get a new ISP funcom, itll solve more problems than you think.

probally the cheapest they can find , all the money they make n they cant even admit when they r wrong for fix it in a timely fashion w/o causing other problems ...i smell another messed up patch comming

There does appear to be some external network issues affecting some players access to the live dimensions today.

We are looking into it and communicating with our service providor to ensure that anything that can be done, is being done.

It seems to have resolved itself at the moment, but we are continuing to monitor it.

Yet funcom still insists that there was nothing wrong on their end and it had to be us.

We have never said that in any way, shape or form. When there have been network or server issues, we have informed players of the issue and provided updates as and when we had them. At no point have we claimed these specific instances were local problems.

I know it frustrating when connection and server issues mean you cant log into the game but I can assure you that the server team work as hard as they can to ensure any problems are resolved quickly and work towards trying to ensure they dont happen again. Likewise we will always communicate these problems and provide updates as much as we can.

If you can post that traceroute we can certainly pass that information along. If the problem is somewhere 'within reach' of us or our service providor then we can gladly take any examples of genuine trace routes that might show evidence a potential source of the problem. The time of the traceroute and as much info as possible about your location would be invaluable to helping trace any problems.

Silirrion, the issues go far beyond what you are discussing.

Not only is it annoying NOT being able to log in but most annoying when you are about to level with over 10 mil xp or sk unsaved, and the game crashes and after you finally get back on (if you can) you are sitting at reclaim or back in the garden.

Excuse me for being slightly intelligent but that my friend, is NOT what anyone would consider being fun.

How could you ever expect someone to go on paying for such frustration ?
Some people are more stubborn and it takes longer for them to give up....but here I have said some....not the majority.

Bring yourself to the Clan gardens in Penembra or Inferno and see a near totally dead game......many hours passing to even get a team together.....then ask yourself....would I pay for this ?

Well .. its weekend.... AO usually have connection problems on the weekends. The problem is probably with the internet itself (since everything else works)
