Trading with monsters?

Have you noticed that you can doubble click on a monster and start trading with it? +that they accept if you accept

Yep.

Possibly for missions etc. that you get from NPCs so you can give items you find back to them etc. Some guy also said he used it to bribe a guard to lay off him, but I haven't seen that in practice.

Try giving 1 credit to a guard and see what happens :-)
