Gem Mine?

Ok last night while playing I head somone talking about a gem mine in Borealis.

What I want to know is if this is just a mission area or an actual dungeon you can get into anytime.

Ive checked all the sites that I know of, done searches on this forum and others and can find no refrence to the mine anywhere.

So is it a rumor or does the mine exist?
