Make drawers permanent chest-things!

As it stands right now, drawers - that is, the little cabinets you can buy at furniture terminals - are just decoration. A semi-frequent remark is people asking to be able to leave more stuff on their apartment floors.

Why not just make these dressers/drawers/cabinets/et cetera into chest-like object, but permanent? They can store X amount of items, and maybe a drawer can only hold clothes, while a footlocker would be able to hold guns and such.

You get the idea.

I'm not seriously holding out hope for this, but it's something I'd like to see. ;)
