Question about programming pathing.

how hard would it be to have the pets movements immitate the characters? i.e. the character takes 3 steps, jumps forward and turns right, the pet does the same. Am I missing something here or is that just too simple for them to realize?

Well your pet is not always at your position so it wouln't always work. But I can see a new pet Mimic command that would cause your pet to first come to you then copy your every move.
