Omni-InternOps Issues Travel Advisory re: Newland City

Subject: TRAVEL ADVISORY re NEWLAND CITY

Omni-InternOps is issuing a warning to all Omni-Tek Corporation employees and neutral citizens advising them to defer non-essential travel to Newland City due to ongoing concerns about the degrading security situation and the possibility of terrorist activity directed against Omni-Tek interests in the vicinity. All Omni-Tek offices and outposts in the Newland area will hereafter be operating at reduced staffing levels.

Following the move by Rubi-Ka Universal Robots, any and all Omni-Tek personnel and their family members resident in or in the vicinity of Newland City are advised to leave the City within the next twenty-four hours.

Based on recent intelligence information, Omni-InternOps concludes that the imminent termination of Loren Warr's contract for services, coupled with recent statements given by the Newland City Council, warrants the issue of this Travel Advisory.

This state of alert requires that all Omni-Tek personnel in or traveling through Newland City take appropriate security measures. These measures include, but are not necessarily limited to:

• Travelling fully armed
• Travelling in convoys or groups
• Limiting time spent in Newland City to that which is essential for conducting business activities
• Relocating any and all meetings or conventions to Borealis, Andromeda or another suitable location
• Avoiding travel during the evening and night hours
• Avoiding Neuters nightclub and the outdoor food court
• Avoiding large crowds or demonstrations
• Keeping a low profile
• Varying times and routes for all required travel

Continuing tensions throughout Rubi-Ka increases the possibility of violence occuring. As security has been tightened at official Omni-Tek facilities, clan terrorists and their sympathizers have demonstrated the willingness and capability to attack more vulnerable targets, including facilities where Omni-Tek employees are generally known to congregate or visit.

Omni-Tek employees who travel to, or remain in, Newland City despite this Travel Warning should advise a member of Omni-InternOps immediately.

Well, now the rest of Rubi-Ka knows how the clanners have felt.

Of course, blaming the Clans for the unrest is kind of silly, considering they (we) are the ones who got the worst of it since the thugs came to town. I'd be worried about getting caught in a crossfire between the thugs and the defenders, but I wouldn't worry about clan attacks there. They're probably too busy trying to not get shot themselves.

This does mean increased business for Borealis though. Can't complain there.

Subject: UPDATED TRAVEL ADVISORY re NEWLAND CITY

Further to the Travel Advisory issued 3 February 29478, Omni-InternOps is warning of an imminent threat to all personnel in Newland City. Any citizens who have not yet relocated should do so immediately.

Following last night's meeting between the Newland City Council, representatives of the Jobe Association of Metaphysical Exploration and Omni-Tek Corporation of Rubi-Ka CEO Philip Ross, and in light of the events of 2 February 29478 re Loren Warr, it is expected that Newland City will become a flash point for terrorist and lawless activity within the next 48 to 72 hours. Omni-Tek security forces in the area are at the highest state of alert.

In the event that emergency evactuation of Newland City becomes necessary, any and all Omni-Tek employees in Newland City at the time are advised to flee to Omni-1 via the Whompha network. In the event the Whompha network becomes inoperable, Omni-Tek employees are advised to proceed immediately to the nearest neutral outpost in Newland Desert and contact a member of Omni-InternOps or Omni-Pol for escort back to Omni-Tek territory.

In addition to this Updated Travel Advisory, Omni-InternOps is calling on all Omni-Tek security departments to assist in patrolling Newland City until tensions in the area calm. Any Omni-Tek forces patrolling Newland City are instructed not to confront Loren Warr or any of the hired mercenaries stationed in or in the vicinity of the city. Additionally, all Omni-Tek personnel are hereby directed to accept any and all requests from the Newland City Council, including requests to cease and desist any and all patrols.

RUR has taken fold of the matter and relocated to the HArry's office. I on a personal note am gonna hold my own vigil, my apartment is in Newland City, I like the place, Loreen can go suck mine, Im gonna still go back there and sleep in my home in Rubi-Ka. Whatever happens after, is up to the council, they want JAME, Ross Wants JAME. In time maybe this will be happening agian, with people wanting JAME to stick to their quiet ways that was their edict for many Years. A new age dawns as Philip Ross stated, 'Dark times ahead'.

Thanks fer having issued a warning. It's easier fer us who were there to unnerstand what happened and tha violence with which it happened, but everybody ahs tha right to be informed of tha encountered riskks.

Loren Warr may do what she wants. I won't cower. If fer any reason I'm in need to travel through Newland, I'll do it without an hesitation and with my head high - well, fully armed in case of, but without hesitation. However, I want to precise that if any emergency case was to happen, I am able to help with any escort or, better, hasty evacuation needed. Warr can block tha whompas and gates, but not my grid-link. *slightly smiles*

Further to the Travel Advisory issued 3 February 29478 and the Updated Travel Advisory issued 4 February 29478, Omni-InternOps is reminding all employees of an imminent threat to all personnel in Newland City. Any citizens who have not yet relocated should do so immediately.

Im light of the murder of former Newland City Council member Ms. Amahnda Dwemse, and the evidence related thereto, it is the opinion of Omni-InternOps that any and all current Newland City Council personnel, as well as high-profile Omni-Tek employees, may be targetted by the individuals responsible for Ms. Dwemse's murder.

Note that Omni-InternOps makes absolutely no statement, whether express or implied, that Loren Warr and her mercenary force are in any way connected or involved with this murder.

Omni-InternOps is therefore advising that security levels surrounding Omni-Tek Corporation of Rubi-Ka CEO Philip Ross be increased accordingly.

Furthermore, the following inviduals are advised to maintain low profiles and to travel under heavy security at all times:

Safety Directive for RUR employee's travel in and within NLC


Flashwing and I have drafted and checked, rechecked this through. The ST50's so far we have in operational order will have an uplink to Xerves our Mainframe. They will be stationed in standby mode at the grid and Woompah's.

Any employee detected within range of any of the ST50 Guarmaster Bots, will alert Xerves which will set the ST50 to gaurd the employee during their stay. I personally have one of the ST50's at my apartment, and have the other 17 up for duty.

This is to be clarified by the Board, but Im sure they will agree on this action.
