Awnsers to questions :

Question 1 : Why aint there item entrys for some of the winner roll's.

Awnser : Well it is because a host forgot to add a litle number when they executed the roll command the number is to tell clannet what item is rolled.

Question 2 : Why is there missing names to the winner items as winner's.

Awnser : Well you know that litle name split bug when searching for the name of the winner roll number it have to split the names up from a list.. problem at times is that it get a split bug and get 2 names in it and then cant reset that chars points or put in the name on that char in the system.

I have been working on fixing this bug and should have a new roll command complete soon. This command do not have to split the names!! and it is required to ad a number on a item on roll command ...

Thx hehe well i didnt make the bot for my own health i made it because we had a internal clan war on the brink at the time and we needed a solution. Solution was a system on paper that was impossible to uphold without a bot.. That was what i did i took a system that the leaders thought was a start and put it in a bot.

The system is not perfect but it was alot better then what we had. It solved alot of problems but it look like some people have made their mission in getting that back again. Most of us know the history and all the efforts that have been done and all the **** that have been. Some of us learned but obviusly not all.

Based on what will happen this week i am gonna shut down clannet this weekend. And let anarchy rule for a time.. What happens after that will be interesting to c.

Atleast there might be that people will learn the hard way the situation. But it will be interesting to c. I have informed some of the org leaders about my intentions based on what happens this week. You the rest of the players and clannet raid members get the info now and on comming raids this week.

If clannet can stay offline with the harmony on clan side intact i am the the first one that will be happy that it will remain that but based out of what i know about everyone involved i predict a Internal clan war comming up and it will prolly become ugly. I just hope FC have the power to fix some basic functions to prevent this because this could become realy mezzy.

Well i did a effort of keeping the peace as long as possible but if it is a Internal War that is needed then let it be that way.

I am not gonna take the first step thow .. I am not gonna back down from the intention of the system "Peace, Item Share, Clan harmony, Clan Effort". If it can maintain that without clannet i am all for keeping it shut down. But somehow i doubt that will be.

I thought Clannet worked well. It gave individuals who are not in an uber guild the opportunity to 1) participate in raids on a really tough mob that is undoable to the "solo" player and 2) allowed those same people an equitable means to obtain the loot that dropped.

I definately support your decision to turn off clannet. Watching you get flammed and people make up lies acusing you of rigging rolls after all the hard work you put into making tara fun for people, burns me up!

So how exactly did some people wandering around with a GPH have one that didn't exist clannet when clannet was created? And the characters couldn't have gone to tara before that? (level < 120)

There have actually been some cases on ninja looting, among looting teams, etc, especially when clannet was a new system. Back then we didn't insist that an admin loot and that people back away from the platform, and this was also before team looting messages were introduced. That I assume accounts for many of the discrepancies.

BTW Marl, great job and I wish it was easier for you, because you deserve a lot more credit than you ever get for taking this upon yourself.

Feel a need to make a comment as I have seen some comments about Marlark's honesty and intentions in building clannet. I have no idea what really goes on at your raids being Omni however...

No matter what system is in place there will ALWAYS be someone it is not fair to. Fact of life folks.

Greed does not solely attack Clan or Omni. Either side that manages to hold that dragon will eventually find themselves losing control of the dragon (at least as far as monopolizing it) or will spend a great deal of time in disputes between all those involved in the large effort it requires. That effort is as far as I remember not required to kill Tara after all...one team or less can do that (depending on what patch it is...dunno haven't seen her in a while)

I have known Marlark for some time since he was President of Velvet when I was a member as clan many months ago. Never have I seen more dedication to the overall improvement of gameplay before or since. When it came to trying to set us some player run events involving all sides he arranged meetings to try to find a way, involving all sides. Hoping maybe to throw some kind of content into the game that FC had sadly left out. This was before any real conflicts such as Tara and NW were involved, at that time really other than PvP, which was really not a mass activity, what were you fighting against? Events sponsored by FC especially on RK2 were few and far between and generally not all that interesting (thanks FC for at least always supplying the super high QL lag and constand LD's) Point is, Marlark was always contacting FC, dragging GM/ARKS to meetings, and attempting to get players involved in making their own content.

I really I don't know what happens with Clannet as I am now Omni, probably just luck and all systems come down to that, maybe favoring one sort of player and not another as none can be totally fair. Those who organize will always be blamed for being unfair to someone. It happened to Omni when we had an organized system and that is because there are too many people with different motivations ultimately are going to disagree. Personally the way I saw it when Omni was organized and we were meeting about rules was whatever system you go with is fine with me. Do I want loot from Tara? Sure I do. But as I saw it the only way we as omni would continue to hold it was to remain organized as one front, if that's what you want then stick with the systems. Was totally boring, arrive in time to have large enough group to hold Tara's lair and basically rebuff endlessly in lag and then join in a roll that would generally spawn brand new reasons for people to feel they have been cheated out of something they feel they deserve more than someone else. And yes I saw people who had done alot more get alot less over and over...That's Life!

Anyway, tribute to you Marlark for trying...I can't say I know anything about whether there was some form of devious use of Clannet by others, no interest honestly in knowing specifics on roll systems even if I were clan. If Marlark set Clannet in action it was I am sure due to a genuine desire to serve clan as a whole...it's just what he is all about. This is a person who although has remained a friend in general, has treated me as a potential spy I remember them testing to ensure I no longer had access to their boards and bot. I am way too lazy to be a spy.

Geez do I even know this is just a game...boy I am tired of all the bull****. But honor is honor in a game or in reality, I will stand up for those who have displayed it in anything I am involved in no matter how trivial.

One of the reasons i stopped going to tara was cause of the continual insinuations by people about ninja'ing. Every frikking time there'd be someone whining about how little loot dropped that time, how tara "usually drops more".

Kinda sickening how people will whine and plant their innuendo but won't come out and say it.

I was at one tara a month or 2 ago where no admins were on, so we had to organize a roll with helpbot *shudder*. There was Thoriak whining about the rolls, and everyone else *****ing and complaining. We were damn lucky no omni's showed that day .

Good luck to ya'll without clannet , I know I wouldn't go without it.... or at least, not for a little bit. Let all the fair weather tara raiders take a hike once the omni's start coming back, then I might try going again.

There is absolutely no way the admins can cheet in rolls in clannet. All you do is /tell clannet roll <item> and it does the rest. It will allways be a machine that makes the roll, the code will be the same and it doesnt matter where it is.
I have never won anything at clannet.. i can ***** about it, but in a joking way. I know if i work hard and collect the points i will get rewarded for my work one day.
The problem with clannet seems to be some people that think they are special and dont have to wait in turn to get stuff, but the fact is if you really want an item you can get it sooner or later.

We are quite a lot of clanners and we only have 3 taras each day. If we dont share with eachother soon the same will happen to us as with the omnis when they owned tarasque some time ago. Greed allways lead to destruction.

PS: Keep up the excelent work Marlark.. we would be in chaos without you.
