Why are NPC & Machine Vendors designed to rip us off on trade-ins?

It seems like I am getting 1% of the retail value of items I sell to vendors.

How about uping that to at least 25 to 50% retail value? I would rather just give my old weapons and armor away to newbies than be ripped off. How am I supposed to make any money in AO?

I can see why everyone uses the auction channel to sell their goods. But, to me, playing Ebay in AO is no fun.

The reason is quite simple IMO - there is already alot more money in circulation on Rubika that is good for the economy (duped/exploited credits), so Funcom doesn't want to make things worse by upping the vendor trade-in prices.

If you wanna make money, you need to sell items or services that are in demand, and believe me this is not hard. Just figure what ppl want (see this forum, for instance) and try to supply the market. =)

Yeah, Smacdevil, but I am just a Martial Artist. I don't make things (to sell), I break 'em! You think anyone would be interested in a bodyguard? lol
