Problems with the Screenshot Competition...

Ok, it says to send the screenies in jpg format in a zip file...

HOWEVER...

I got this as the reason for a failed transmision:

Due to rampant virus attacks we don't allow exe or zip files as attachments

So... Work it out guys & let us know what you actualy want us to do, thanks.

If I had to guess, I'd say just send the jpg. Or put it in a rar instead of a zip. Is this your first firewall encounter or do you simply lack imagination? :/

I don't need imagination, I am following competition instructions, not to means having my entry disqualified as it also says on the competition page. Duh...!

I cannot create a rar file so I have followed the instructions as far as I can, what's the problem? This your first competition or can't you follow instructions?

Anyway, 16hrs later & still no official rulelings on this

AS long as the attachment is under 1mb it should be fine, so feel free to send the jpg or try winrar instead of winzip. We have also recieved zip files without any issues already as entries so it might be worth virus scanning you machine as well just in case.

Ok, thanks Silirrion, I'll send them as jpgs.

My comp is clean however even if it turned out I had something & then cleaned it, the failed return clearly says zips are not accepted, how some people got theirs through is beyond me.

If we crop an image to frame it a certain way, or to get rid of text boxes etc., but we do NOT edit the content of the image in any way, does that count as a basic entry or an edited entry?

Hmmm, good question, I've cropped to do that & I never even thought of the possibility of it altering the type of entry...

Would like to hear clarification of this. Sometimes my best screencaps I didn't get time to close all the boxes, inventory, toolbar, etc.. so editing those would mean........?
