Can be found in SD off any off the lower lvl Mantis like workers and scouts. Don't think it drops off the breeders, Nano and the other high lvl mantis.
i know the sd mantis drops parts for the armor, but not for the prothorax. u sure?

I've killed quite a few of those mantis in SD since the last patch. I've seen the armor and the prof items for the trader, adv, and MP but not the Soldier one. I could be wrong but I'd say that I've killed enough to be sure that it doesn't drop there.

I've slain mantis'es for some days as well, and never seen this item. I've got quite a few of the other items and several sets of mantis armor, so it should have popped up by now, unless it's droprate is much lower than the other mantis items.
possibilities:
a) drop rate is abyssmal
b) not ingame

Well once again funcom strikes a clear lightning against the soldiers. Though its not much, its certainly a hint!
They are messing with our heads boys, cant you see it?!
I for one would love the prothorax, i could manage without VT egg if i had one of those. (well almost)
