The effect of Halloween on the Economy

There has been ALOT of good drops tonight this great halloween.

    My org found

    Grid armor 4
    Nullirty Sphere 2
alor of sunburts pre nerf and freedom arms pre nerf
    a fe pairs of glass's

How may others found GA or Nullity? or other rare items?

Anyways, The price should drop on GA or Nullity depending on this answer.

Seems to me maybe this was a dual fold event?

    Have fun on halloween

Fight some of the MASSIVE inflation by flooding the market a bit more with high demand items?

    anyones thoughts?

I think its a good thing.

We (the players) has a long time asked for a sollution to overpriced rare things, and a broken economy.

...and giving out treats for halloween is good too!

But I'm still curious about how many GA's and NS's that was found yesterday....
If it is enough to reduce the problem, I don't know.

    Happy Halloween!

Dropping these rare items for 1 day wont make much difference I think, and the items that did drop are immediately selling for 100mil + (FAs, Sunburst). Helping the economy - not really, helping the lucky few who actually found something - for sure.

imo it was a very bad way to give out those items. The only one having a chance to locate and take the halloween mobs down in a large scale, are those who already have items of this caliber.

Like every other mob in the game that drops something decent, these mobs were way too camped. The Mockers team that I was in managed to kill about 15 - 20 Uncle Pumpkinheads and found a single pair of glasses and crap.

This sure as hell didn't help The Mockers (which is a guild of fixers). Grid armor prices are the same, if not higher, than prior to Halloween.

If anything, the 'treat' of Halloween only brought out the worst in the AO community.

My guild team hunted Pumpkins in Newland, I got KS'ed once but hey its a game mechanic - move on.

I think we killed 10 in an hour period, they were all grey to us at level 50 (no point going to a higher area when they must be camped since loads of highers were searching Newland) and didnt get a single drop I couldnthave walked into a store and purchased. Some of them had no loot at all.
Dont you think I look like Geordie from Star Trek?

Actually I look more of a cross between him and Picard don't I?

Halloween has fubared the econemy even more. Before Halloween people knew how much pre-patch Freedom Arms were worth. Then Halloween came.... They were not as common drop as people want to think. I have been offered 100k for 2x QL 34 FA 3927s.... Stop teh insanity!
