Low fps new beta engine

Hey I just installed the new engine and just coming back after many years. I am running a laptop with GTX 660m, Intel 4000 and CPU is Intel Core i5 3210m. Weird part is that GTX 660m don't show up on settings visual rendering device only Primary and Intel 4000 http://i.imgur.com/VeyY1FI.png

And I have set Nvidia to anarchyonline.exe and Global setting to always use Nvidia .I am getting 1-11 FPS with Full screen and Window no different. So its impossible for me to play the AO beta engine with this specs? Tried using my integrated intel 4000 and its slightly higher then on primary 1-16 FPS may be location or whatever I would belive primary is same as intel 4000? So my option is to try the current version out or will I have this problems their too? Or is their any tricks to fix this?

Hey thanks for reply I cant install directX 9 on windows 10 it seems i did a snapshot of error and one more thing under settings visual rendering device in the AO launcher it cant find my GTX 660m.

i have framedrops on a gtx 970ftw+. my 560m runs it max 26~30 fps when staring at a wall inside bs hub. new engine is an unoptimized buggy mess that needs either a cash and manhour injection to make it stable or to be maked "OPEN BETA" in big shiny red letters.

That's not good enough could live with 40+ it seems like that this is not the time for me to come back it seems. I even invested in a decent amount on play time and FP and had payment issues struggling with support. And now I can't even play the game ether. On Primary/Intel 4000 I am getting 1-16fps. I have a GTX 970 rig my self too but cant use it where I am. Problem is that the rendering devices doesn't detect my dedicated card. Iv set it on Nvidia on Anarchonline.exe and the Global to always use Nvidia GTX660m.

If i only could post the DxDiag and HijackThis?

Isn't their some website you can write text and get a link like imgurl? Tryd finding it but no luck i know its out there iv seen it. Only thing thta comes to my head is pinrest but thats not what am looking for... Anyone?

This new engine is brutal. Running i7 4770K @ 4.1Ghz, nvidia 980 Ti. @2560x1440 fullscreen in 12M raid I was getting down to like 15fps. Dunno why always a slide show in there.

Yeag seems like a hit and miss but I an having problems wit the normal client too.. 1-16fps My dedicated GTX 660m wont show up under rendering device only intel 4000. So I am gonna try to get a refund its unplayable ruff start getting back too AO..

Have you tried disabling the onboard graphics in the bios, or is that option not available on the bios version ?

Thanks you for your reply! Just checked only setting about intel card was the rapid intel settings no onboard graphics.

- Right-click your desktop, and open Nvidia Control Panel.
- Click "Manage 3D Settings" on the left.
- Be sure you are inside of the Global tab.
- For the Global Presets drop-down, be sure that you have "Base Profile" selected.
- Use the drop-down underneath that to select "High-Performance Processor".
- Hit "Apply" at the bottom-right.

Make sure it actually run with nvidia card: In nvidia control panel click the desktop button and check "Display GPU Activity icon.." it will show a icon at notification arena and if u hover over it it should show a anarchy online icon if ao is running on nvidia graphic card(I have had lots of problems getting various games run on my nvidia card on my laptop, usually had to install nvidia drives multiple times and sometimes reinstall windows completely to get this working, even tho i choosed the game to run on nvidia card in the settings.......)

Also make sure in nvidia control panel settings where it says Power that you have selected "Prefer maximum performance" this has a huge impact..
Another thing you can also try is to run the game in windowed borderless and after logging in tab to desktop and back to the game, i got the 680m and are getting around 50-70 fps on the new engine(alone with some mobs)

The poor performance of the engine is mostly because of that every thing is effected by raycast shadows, even billborads . The engine has clearly no separation of elements.

That's an issue with the Deranged Xan model and the new engine.
