It's not a secret. Some of the dedicated testers from the Test Server were asked to participate in the booster pack beta.

I wasn't askedand I've been playing on test for longer then everyone on there now. I don't play ONLY on test though, so I may have been over-looked or just not on when the asking went down.
Maybe I've got a better chance with the expansion.
