    18.7.0.20 Changes

    • Shade
    • Added nano Dissolving Vitality; a lower version of Sneaking Health Drain
    • Lowered level lock for Nippy Stilettos
    • Damage procs heal the Shade for a small amount
    • DoT procs restore a small amount of nano
    • Added Concealment modifications to Evade/Agility buffs; increased Evades
    • Added Sharp Objects modifications to Piercing buffs
    • Nnao Shadow in the Night: Increased amount of concealment
    • Lowered skill requirements of Spec 4 nanos
    • Can't comment on Dissolving Vitality yet, don't have it.
    • Can't comment on Nippy's don't have those right now either.


    • Damage procs restore health; "You drained 191 points of health from the target." Using the top proc.
      Interestingly, it doesn't show it in your combat window, it displays it as a system message, hence it is not displayed as "You were healed for 243 points." blue text for example.
      So, for my "generic setup" Testlive opifex shade, it doesn't heal more than your healdelta - which is a touch disappointing, I was hoping for about the same. It is still more than the medi-proc though. Which means that cumulatively we actually have pretty decent healing when you add it with SHD.
      "You were healed for 623 points.

      You were healed for 123 points.
      AND
      You drained 191 points of health from the target."
      Obviously medi-proc healing varies and SHD can be spammed faster for more and heal delta is dependent on a number of other things. BUT - this ain't half bad.

    • DoT proc nano-heal "You drained 280 points of nano from the target." - this is more the sort of amount I hoped for on the heal proc and I'm still questioning when this will come in useful at TL7... I don't think I've ever run out of nano then. However I can see how this will be nice for on lowbie shades with the new, lower equivalent of SHD.

    I know you can't tell what the spirits are from there, but its a normal hybrid settup with RArm Offense, LArm Defense and Waist Defense. Sadly no Ado brain on that as I haven't done it on that test shade. Utils 1 and 2 are Infused Ancient Vision and Infused Ancient Defender. Pretty sure everything else you can tell what it is from the picture.

    I maxed Deflect with the spare IP that toon has and I got just under 1.9k, so assuming a linear relationship between deflect %chance and deflect skill you're looking at a 6.3% chance of deflect.

    I can comment on other stuff too if you ask below or note anything I've missed and I'm more than happy to fiddle with different things on that shade and get back to you with results! (Except making it trox you filthy heathens!)

    Hope I shed a touch of light on these changes for at least someone.

    [N.B: These 18.7.0.20 changes are on top of the 18.7.0.17 changes which I can also go through if you want, but they've been about for a while and I imagine discussed a fair bit.]

    Is this healing a fixed amount or % dd done by proc or what? I like it for roleplaying reasons but for tough mob soloing ubt proc will be still better same as stun proc for pvp so it doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

    It is 15% of the damage of the proc from what I can tell (when testing with the top proc and varying amounts of +dmg).
    I like it for the RP reasons too. I would agree however on stunproc/DoT proc outclassing it in PvP *mostly* though.

    Init proc is nice, especially since it was changed to 100% land and buffed in 18.7.0.17.

    I need to test whether it stacks with UBT/Malaise because after the debuff nerfs, if both stack then Shade's could be wanted as a SUPPORT (?!) profession!

    Last time 18.7 was released, I went and tested some pvm fights. I tried Lotv/Mitaar/R/L hand, xark/razor (Doable before i think tho) All of these are more than easily soloable, mind you I did it on test, with no reflect graft, and tbh i had 0 perks in CiB, in a non-evade setup, mostly just becase of that -init debuff, and new deflect Anyway!

    I tried again with the changes to deflect and..well..same results so hehe, have fun!

    This sounds interesting...

    The nippy change is great, my only concern is that the weapon is still absurdly rare and it isn't a viable option for any newer shades.

    Not sure if this is mentioned anywhere, but i was looking at Sublime Rapport and it seems like it could be great fun when there are multiple shades in team.

    I'd say that the effect should be on a more standard perk line or not at all, having a lot of shades take a perk line of dubious value just doesn't work out.

    Haha, that looks very... impractical. I mean you don't want PIERCING weapon to have spikes, not even one, let alone five (other than hand-guard), that just doesn't make any sense. And while can-opener is ugly, this looks even worse imo :P

    Hmm... I kinda like it... I mean... it's got 6 piercing points.... and doesn't look like something to get your food with if World War 3 happens....
