    OTPC: The Humbold Device.

    OTPC: The Humbold Device.
    June 6th, 29487.

OTPC would like to confirm reports that infact Rubi-Ka's Omni-Tek leaders have NOT been transferred to a secure device developed by the ICC.

While Omni-Tek understands the threat that a virus could pose to the clan's inferior reclaim system, we assure you that Omni-Tek's reclaim system will suffer no such problem.

Despite earlier reports of our co-operation in what was originally deemed to be a security discussion around reclaim technology, has resulted in a press-release of which we do not approve.

Omni-Tek is in the process of seeking both a retraction and compensation from ICC/IRRK in accordance with this damning statement.

Good to see that this has been confirmed.

Lets see if anything can be done about that.

I would highly doubt you, or any other party are capable of compromising one of the most secure systems ever created. Needless to say, your threat has been appropriately noted and passed on. Thank you.

The system the clans, omnis and neutrals are using has been developed by Omni-Tek. It may be "one of the most secure systems ever created" but it has already been compromised when Humbold's insurance was hacked. So it can be done. Anywhere. To anyone.

It's clear that the system Omni-Tek uses have been improved multiple times since the clan copied it.

Are you saying that Omni-Tek has broken the agreement with ICC from back in 29452 that it will share the insurance tech freely with clans and neutrals?

As far as I know the insurance technology is one big system. If the clan insurance patterns have been hacked so can be the neutral and omni ones. Stop hiding from the truth: you too have a security problem.

The insurance system itself is shared yes; but security protocols applied to Omni-Tek patterns are vastly more efficient and secure than those applied to Neutral & Clan patterns.

The ICC regulations state that the core system needs to be shared, not the protection around it.

Sadly that the problem. Omni-Tek Comes up with a system and the freeloading neutral and clans cry to ICC to get it for free. Sadly ICC is always eager to help them steal it under the "we are one big happy familly" crap.

It's articles like this that make me proud to be Omni, not bundled into some slapdash code box with fence sitters and those that would want to see the company brought to its end.

Although yes, prior to this device the technology was "shared", R&D assure me that Omni-Tek citizens reclaimation patterns have code strings attached to ensure a more efficient, secure reclaim where as I believe the clans adjourn their terminals with offerings and hold regular sacrifices at their reclaim terminals so as not to anger their "god."

I can also proudly confirm that my Omni-AF Riot-Specialists have killed forty-five non-Omni-Tek individuals in the last week that have attempted to interface with an Omni reclaim terminal.

Rightttttttt. So what happened to the good doctor then?

You mean Humbold? Clan patters are vastly less secure than Omni-Tek patterns. To compromise a Omni-Tek pattern is nigh-on impossible.

Whilst I am no expert in the reclaim system, as the majority of the system is classified; I am however aware of the greater security protocols applied to Omni-Tek patterns. There have been a string of threats made recently towards the reclaim system, as the Chief Officer of Omni-Pols ATU it's my responsibility to ensure nothing untoward should happen, and after being in contact with the relevant people I can assure you that our systems will not be compromised.

Former CEO Phillips was not insured, I do believe there was a statement from Omni-Med on the matter.

"Keslie" Farndale tells Network to shut off the news feed for now. Rubbing her temples she leans back in her chair looking to the other detectives.

Getting up she walks over to DS "Streller" and sits on the edge of his desk after brushing off some crumbs.

"Steller, these insurance claims, do you think there is a way to get in and see some old files?"
