In light of last week's events, Rubi-Ka's Clan Faction contacted the ICC and detailed of how a singular individual's reclaim pattern had been attacked by a virus and damaged beyond repair.

While this project has been in trials, their plea has encouraged us to install this device into the reclaimation system years ahead of schedule.

In joint approval with all three Rubi-Kan factions, we have transferred all Omni-Tek, Clan and Neutral clearance level 10 department heads, faction leaders, city mayors to the Humbold Device. The reclaimation sequences are pattern coded in a fractal encryption sequence.

If the unfortunate is to occur, the Humbold Device isolates the relevant pattern, decrypts it using an internal sequencer and presents the pattern to the reclaim system. While this is expected to take approximately two or three minutes longer than a normal reclaim system, it is designed to be significantly more secure.

The Humbold Device is at present in one of many classified locations on Rubi-Ka. Until such a time occurs that we can digitally upload the device or instigate proximity failsafes, no further information will be released.

Tom squints his eyes after reading the above news article. He then leans back into his ragged couch, causing empty beer cans to fall to the floor.

So, let me get this straight. It's safe to assume a lot of credits were spent on his Humbold Device. Then the ICC is allowed to simply walk into Omni-Tek's Top Secret, proprietary Insurance System and just install this amazingly compatible device?

Tom takes the final swig of the beer we was working on and leans back toward his Com Terminal.

I guess it's a good thing us Omnis have Perma-Kill Weapons that bypass our insurance system!

Ah yes, because your precious 'Perma-kill' weapons are under secure lock and key right?

Tip #743: As noted in Tip #244, tea bags have an infinite variety of uses. However, there's always one jerk who will want to give you crap over drinking tea. Particularly if in a new town, use this as an opportunity to assert yourself. Any drunken idiot can win a bar fight. It takes a real man to win a bar fight while enjoying a cup of Earl Grey.
