Fair point, but it does seem like a snub to make new neutrals run so far compared to Clan or Omni new players. Or even make them less likely to explore this till alot later in the game. We should be wanting to make the new player experience better so more stay, not making a certain bunch of them run further just because.

It wouldnt be too hard to imagine the Newland City having some missions they would like to see carried out, via Freelancers inc. either against aliens, dustbrigade or mercenaries/smugglers.

Technically they're not, they're both Freelancers inc. agencies, not Clan or Omni sided.

Though I must confess I've not tried taking an Omni character into the clan Agency building and I don't have a clan character.

On Test it was possible for an Omni character to get missions from the 'Clan styled' Agency NPC's kindly provided in ICC for testing purposes though.

Seems the 'Clan styled' NPC's also had the records of Omni characters that had signed up at the 'Omni Styled' Receptionist as there was no need to sign up again when talking to the 'Clan Styled' NPC's.

Which really does make some sense as Freelancers Inc. is an outside company.

Have, you could fit them in, but it wouldnt fit with them being Newland City council, even if the dev team would add it. But maybe the Borealis Traders Council went underground, who knows? Theres quite a few storyline bits which could be used to get it to work.

Neutrals will be able to pull missions from either of the Agency buildings, located in both Rome Blue and Old Athens. There will also be signs available across the world in all 'hub'/startup areas which include a quest (with waypoints) which tells players how to reach the Agency buildings.

Yes, it is a little more difficult on Neutral players starting out, as they would have to take several whompas (or the grid) to reach either location, but with the amount of signage and information placed into the game world regarding the Agency buildings it *should* be enough to offset any confusion. =)

It blows that the Collector instance entrance is in Pande, what if we wanted some old school NODROP phatz for our lowbie toons, that either can actually make proper use of it, or for sentimental value in social?

    AAh, that's nice

I like the emphases on a natural introduction to these things for new players. There are a lot of stuff in AO that many new players don't really learn about until it's "to late".

Cheers, sounds like it will be ok.

Lowbies wouldn't be able to complete the instance, and it's not one that you can sell items on.

Personally I think this particular instance (collectors) is fine at endgame. It's apparently supposed to be very hard, which is something we need as PvM at endgame is so easy these days.

Also, I do feel we got enough "twink-instances" in AO as it is. People make twink for subway. Then they make a twink for totw. Then they make a twink for foremans. Then they make a twink for s10 and so on.

I personally don't think this is a good thing. It makes things very weird for new players that progress naturally through these places and also for those older players that want to do the same thing. It's not a huge deal but it's still a point I thought worth mentioning.

If collectors instance was for lower levels then it would just be yet another place that twinks would farm to death.

I personally would rather keep it as a very challenging and interesting encounter for end-game.

FC could do something different for lower levels.

Multiple interesting changes in this patch, all of which make me incredibly happy.

    ****ing top notch jobs guys.

    EDIT:

Coast of Peace and Coast of Tranquility playfields have now been hooked into the Grid.
Is this Level 10 FGrid or Level 3 Regular Grid?

Nothing keeping you from escorting them thru the instance - ppl escort lowbies to beast now (and before instanced pande, as well)

Has nothing to to do with completing the instance, why would I want a load of old school NODROP crap for my 220? Oh yeah right social, real cool....

Give the option to let your lowbies that can actually use the old school stuff do so.

The whole notion that only 220's or well 201+ should be able to enjoy this is weak.

So they will have access to all AI buildings now, not just the headquarters?
