Autopano Pro. Had to manually assign a few hundred points tho.

First processed each of the eleven 3 picture stack in PS5, then had Autopano try to assemble. Went to a stitching quality of 2.6. Manually assigned until i went down under 1.5.

    It accidentally all the stars?

Stars are usually way, way, way fainter than the moon. Would need a HDR photo to get a decent shot of the moon with stars in the background.

what demoder said. And keep in mind the moon and the stars are moving so you would have to refocuse/rework each shot.

I know that there are tools(hardware/software) for that but I'm lazy

You might be able to crop that picture. Very nice shot indeed.

For stars.. the only thing i can think of is sort of an HDR, yes. Same program that is used for long startrails. I cant recall the name now.

Are you sure you're not thinking of image stacking? Space photography is often challenging because you have to take pictures which, despite being shot with long exposure, still come off as faint. One usually stack multiple photographs using stacking software (layers in photoshop with blending effects, or specialized software) to achieve good, clear photographs.

Both of you are "wrong" HDR is totally wrong definition for the Star/moon photos.
And image stacking works sure, but it is still wrong.
What you do need is a tripod that rotates with the same speed as the stars. Then you can do 5-10-15 minute exposure times without any problems

yup that's what I ment by hardware tools.

in a clear night without any city lights near, some of the brighter star combinations can be photographed with shorter exposures times and combined in the tool of choice.

Still the real fun comes from the hardware tools

Some people went to the new Volcano in Iceland before the police could lock the connection roads up on the glacier. I planned on being there on Sunday, but too late already. The video ended up in the news.
