    I don't even have access to the GUI textures/widgets/icons.. so I'm working from screenshots and best guesses. But managing alright I think.

    Textures will take a bit to sort out since I'm at work atm and have to transfer the 630MB of textures here, not to mention going through all 11244 of them to find the one for hecklers. If you'd like the whole package, I can PM you a link (don't want to make it public to avoid getting my ADSL flooded with downloads).

    Unfortunately I haven't managed to decode meshes yet, so I can't provide you with 3D models to test the textures on.

    Thanks for the GUI stuff, and it looks like they have already made new 512x512 Heckler textures, but the game is only using one of the 256x256 textures. that or the 512x512 textures are the 'Horrors' and the 256x256 ones are the hecks. I'll give them more atention later.

    The 512x512 heckler images have a funny crinkled paper appearance, so I'm not sure if they're intended as actual model textures. The 256x256 heckler and horrors certainly are (although I can't remember seeing the colored ones anywhere, but maybe I just haven't gone to the right places).

    Also, the 256x256 heckler has a considerably lower ID than the other ones, suggesting that it is a lot olfer than the other ones. In fact, looking at some other textures that have a larger ID than it, I believe that it was introduced way back in the original game.

    I you need any other textures, let me know.

    Ok, just fooling around, but I can churn out heckler textures fairly easy, I did this in like 30 min, and now I got templates..

    Oh, and I did some in-game screenshots of hecks and even with textures set to high res they do not do the actual UV map any justice, I hope the new engine does a better job of rendering the textures in game. Even set to high quality textures they seem low res in game, but if I enlarge the 256x256 one it retains allot more detail than the ones in the screenshots.. if anyone wants a sample let me know.

    Inferno hecklers should obviously have a fiery look to them. Then we have Elements, Dreams, Earth and Stones at least (and Metals which was already taken care of). I think the original is just perfect for Earth. Stones could be a grayish non-shiny version. Elements... Maybe some sort of crystalline appearance? Dunno. Dreams is difficult, but probably something nightmarish.

    yap elements could be crystaline and dreams kind of smokey with grey/black/white gradients or brushpainted layers to make it blurry ?

    anyway i wonder HOW and WHY funcom didn't already react on that topic and all the work done here.

    FFS move it NOW dudes ! buy some or hire him or offer freetime or any arrangement allowing to use that cool designed content that could help to revamp AO along with new engine.

    want the game to stay alive ? react IN LIVE with cool proposals like you see here !!!! enough vacations and inertia !!!

    ps : in one month this topic been watched 16K times, proof that players are seriously wanting to see docaholic's work put IG.

    The hecklers are actually a reused model from Rubi-Ka. You can find them out in DAV in the NE island. I believe it is actually called spiral island and there is a carbon rich rock farm point there. If they truly are just reusing that mesh, which I don't see why they wouldn't, then that would explain why the hecklers look low res even with settings set to high res.

    I like this, I'd go more with Heckler of dreams though. Heckler of elements maybe should have some more 'clear'/almost see-through parts?

    Those are cute hecklers!

    Although my ultimate favorite hecklars will be Gold color hecklers that drop gold bar & credit instead of XP But I cant complain much. But with more creative people like you AO would be much more colorful.

    Here is another idea. Since Funcom doing new engine, it means they are doing the new playfield from scratch. I hope they come out a diff version of Rome such as Rome_Blue_Xmas version that decorated with all Xmas decoration in every corner in the city + special default rome xmas sound, instead of adding simple NPC alone. That will make Xmas feels a little more" Xmas".

    i think you can do a little better on this based off your other work, it just looks like someone threw a bucket of red paint at it to me. make the red parts have more of a orange tint and look more like its visible through those natural cracks. great work on the dreams/elements, that looks pretty awsome.
