I'm tired of reused Inventory Graphics..

One of the first things i noticed when i came back was the new icons. I did not realize that they where created by a player, in as you took as much of your time as you have to draw/ make these I appreciated it.

Thank you and hope that much of the bickering will calm down now.

Some new Hud/Util Optical items and the all new Sandy Piece of GOO!! (included a larger render in sample to let you see it in all it's glory!). Should be fun to wrap this gooy bracer around our wrists.

Soul Crystals, the colors are good, but the ts-ed onces could use different, maybe a wheel of colors or such.

The research devices aren't "Ugly" you just aren't used to them yet.
But yeah I didn't think they needed a change either.

All these icons give a real refreshment.

Now we need new engine for AO to bring people back in. Idk when it'll be nor what fraction of it FC did so far ...

I really like the direction of the new Alien bio icons, but the numbers are nowhere near big enough to be readable at all.

I give you a Thumbs up for investing Time & Work into those Icons ... but personally i find most of them too cuddly/smooth/colourfull ....... AO is supposed to be Sci-Fi but the new Icons look like they could be WoW or some generic Asian Fanatsygrind-MMO .

Also its a tad confusing to come back after a Patch not being able to visually Identify 10+ % of my Bank & Inventory Stuff but being forced to go List-Mode or Doublecheck each Name.

Is there a Mod for the Game which allowes me to get back the old Icons ?

The only MOD for the game is from AO Universe, it changes the GUI (to a much better one) and adds some useful features. You can find it here.

There are plenty of mods then, if that's what qualifies.

You can't change gamefiles.

I don't see how icons that look nothing like something in a fantasy game can qualify for that though

I have no idea how you'd represent them other then the way they are now. I think I'd like a shinier version of what we have now tho.
