This is probably a stupid question but I haven't looked into the details of the orbital apartments and such, so I simply don't know the answer to this following question and would just like someone to spell it out for me:
You are at ICC. You walk into a building. When you are in the building you open a door to your apartment and there you are.. in space. At what point exactly did you make the actual trip to space?

The transfer happens from the icc door, since if you look out of the apt you can see the connection hub.
