    ----------->>> Cyberdeck damage-types... chose here. <<<-----------

The recent discussion about the Champion of Nano Combat damage perks and Cyberdeck damage-types prompted a discussion about this between myself and Metaing-- to which he said:

[Metaing]: just agree what you guys want on the diff types, and i will look at it.

We first asked for deck damage to be changed to Radiation... which was done quite quickly... But further discussions in this forum about TL5 PvP prompted a re-examination of the damage types used by lower level NTs, and I asked him about the possibility of changing the Spec 1-3 decks to different damage types. This thread is for discussing what damage types we'd like to have our decks changed to.

Right now, I'm inclined to request these damage types:
    Basic Cyberdeck: Melee damage
    Advanced Cyberdeck: Energy damage
    Jobe-chipped Cyberdeck: Fire damage
    Izgimmer'modified Cyberdeck: Radiation damage

Please post your responses quickly... we want to get these mod requests in to Metaing before we have to ask for them after the patch goes live.

Aramsunat suggested that "150-159 NTs use cold dmg nukes" here, so what do you think- make the Advanced Cyberdeck do cold damage instead of energy damage?

BTW, I'll be removing the sticky after we come to a consensus on the damage types... hopefully we can do this before the patch goes live.

TL3s use Izgimmer's Enveloping Flame right? Which does Fire damage?

Would fire not be better for them? What made you pick melee for basic deck?

Only because it's... well, because it's a "basic" deck- kinda like a basic weapon with no special attacks. But this is the reason for posting the thread- to get input from the community. It doesn't have to be Melee damage... pick a damage type.

Unfortunately, the Title Levels don't correspond very well with Specialization Levels... I figured with TL5 NTs using IEF and TotP and the Spec 3 Jobe-chipped Cyberdeck (which people seem to want Fire damage on), having a Spec 2 Augmented Cyberdeck with a different damage type would provide variation and promote leveling... "Level up your NT and get your Spec 3 deck to join in the TL5 PvP fun!" so to speak.

Radiation at tl5 please, most NTs use LE nukes at tl5, imo totp at tl5 is more for showing off (sorry geseeff and aramsunat)

Or they should change notum double and triple to fire damage, I'm ok with that.

im afraid calamite is right, radiation would be more beneficial for tl5 nts as a whole, while for us it does not really matter because we cant rip coon either way

for the Augmented Cyberdeck (lvl 100+) I suggest either fire or cold (fire for IEF and some SL nukes in that range, cold because of Enfraam's Glacial Encasement which is the best nuke pre 155)
frankly i dunno what nuke TL4 pvp NTs use (IEF, EC, SL nukes??), guess the dmg type should benefit them. same applies for tl3

i doubt it would have any significant effect pre tl7 tho

According to ao-universe.com, the title level list is as follows:

Title Level 1 = Starts at Level 5
Title Level 2 = Starts at Level 15
Title Level 3 = Starts at Level 50
Title Level 4 = Starts at Level 100
Title Level 5 = Starts at Level 150
Title Level 6 = Starts at Level 190
Title Level 7 = Starts At Level 205

The Cyberdecks are equippable at the following levels:

    Basic Cyberdeck = Level 50
    Augmented Cyberdeck = Level 100
    Jobe-chipped Cyberdeck = level 150
    Izgimmer-modified Cyberdeck = Level 200

So The Basic Cyberdeck is equippable at Title Level 3, the Augmented Cyberdeck is equippable at Title Level 4, and the Jobe-chipped Cyberdeck is equippable at Tltle Level 5.

I'll try to make it a little easier to chose which damgae type for each cyberdeck-- I've listed below all the SL/LE nukes with their corresponding damage type, level lock, and special ability , if any (in order from lowest QL to highest). Below that is a list of Rubi-Ka nukes and AI DoTs with their corresponding damage type and requirements

The following SL nukes are usable once you equip your Basic Cyberdeck:

    Spark Shower (Energy, Level 50)
    Chilled Touch (Fire, Level 50)
    Caring Needle (Poison, Level 50)
    Vital Corruptor (Poison, Level 75)

Earthshattering Double (Radiation, Lost Eden, Level 120)

    Incessant Flurry (Energy, NR Debuff)
    Chilling Presence (Cold, Level 145)

Notum Cataclysm (Radiation, Lost Eden, AoE, Level 165)
Notum Double (Radiation, Lost Eden, Level 165)

Jobe Cataclysm (Radiation, Lost Eden, AoE, Level 200)
Jobe Double (Radiation, Lost Eden, Level 200)
Jobe Triple (Radiation, Lost Eden, Level 200)
    Overwhelming Storm (Energy, NR Debuff)

The following are usable when you equip your Izgimmer-modified Cyberdeck:

Izgimmer's Frosty Welcome (Cold, Level 201)
Izgimmer's Celestial Fury (Cold, Level 203)
Izgimmer's Infinite Slicer (Melee, Level 205)

    Izgimmer's Ultimatum (Radiation, Level 220)
Mastablasta's Cataclysm (Radiation, Lost Eden, AoE, Level 220)
Izgimmer's Double (Radiation, Lost Eden, Level 220)
Izgimmer's Triple (Radiation, Lost Eden, Level 220)

    Rubi-Ka nukes and AI DoTs:

Coronet of Frost (Cold, QL132, MC616, Nano Skill Debuff)
Collapsing Hadron String (Radiation, QL149, MC687)

    Self Illumination (Radiation, QL219 MC2000, TS1994, AI level 24)

Considering the number of Radiation nukes we use, I'm inclined to tell them to let all the Cyberdecks remain as they are on the test server, with radiation damage as their default damage... but I really need your input guys-- If TL3 (Spec 2) NTs are using IEF more than their Doubles and Triples, please let me know quickly... The patch will be rolling out next week.

What about that you can upload a nuke to your cyberdeck, that decides what damage type you do? Example: Upload IU and you get radiation. Upload IEF and you get fire.

That way perks will go with you...

Ok, hope you get the idea, needs some work maybe, but way to tired to make this a long post

Edit, and this wont pheck up the style people play with, go with LE nukes, or SL nukes + NS2 etc. Change the damage on perks you want opens up for different playstyles

That's not the reason for this thread. Chose a damage type for each of the four different cyberdeck spec-level models.

No one uses SL nukes at TL3, they use RK nukes. I suggested IEF before since for PVM damage type isn't so important, but twinks will most likely be using that at TL3. Or at least my TL3 twink used to before I deleted it.

I suppose would be better if someone with an active TL3 twink posted input.

I really don't think changing the damage type on the first nanodeck is going to fix any problems for a tl3 NT. There are not a lot of dd perks for them aside from CA, only absorb prof you would have to worry about would be an enf and they will probably roll you anyway due to superior buffs and weapon specials. this is all speculation but I assume it makes sense.

I think radiation for the Izgimmer-modified Cyberdeck is pretty much a given, seeing as all our top-level nukes do that damage type.

The Basic Cyberdeck is only available once the NT attains level 50, with most of the SL/LE nukes usable with a Basic deck being unlocked at level 75, and most of them do radiation damage...

I argued that at level 50, most NTs aren't as interested in PvP as they are in leveling up so they can eventually get to that TL5 level for PvPing (if that is indeed their goal) or higher. Mobs don't generally have layer or cocoon shields that require punching through, so I'm inclined to leave the Basic Cyberdeck at melee damage... it is, after all, a "basic" deck. I could be wrong with this, but this is the reason for posting the thread to begin with... Give me an alternative that sounds better and I'll go with that.

No one seems to have an answer for the Augmented Cyberdeck, usable from level 101. Like the Basic Cyberdeck, I don't think there's a significance in the damage type at that level...Damage is damage in terms of PvM, but just to differentiate the augmented version from the basic version, I do suggest having a different damage type... I'm thinking maybe Energy damage.

The Jobe-chipped Cyberdeck (level 150+) seems to be the deck with the most discussion surrounding it, with the damage choices being either radiation or fire. A number of people have suggested fire damage to match IEF and TotP...

It's crunch time, folks... patch is rolling out in just a few days.

Yes, your TL3 "twink" would like to have it's deck's damage type match the absolute highest level nuke he can possibly use, but we need to think of the greater picture here-- IEF is a QL187 nuke, and the closest SL nuke in quality level or damage to IEF is Enfraam's Ultimate Destroyer, at QL185, which requires a Jobe-chipped Cyberdeck.

The Basic Cyberdeck is unlocked at level 50. Can IEF be cast by the average level 50 NT?

i think Fox's got a point, this change wont affect the "average" lvl 50 NT in any way. NT is pretty weak pre 70ish where the field is totally dominated by traders, enforcers and occasional agents that all can pwn the NT horribly after ns1 wears off.
i think Fox's point is to benefit twinks that _might_ be affected by this change (truth it wont be of much significance)
