    Abbreviations

So I finally decided to make my NT playable after forgetting it a while when they nerfed kiting. As anyone knows who's played the game pretty much longer than a couple days, there are a ton of abbreviations. So my question is...what are the common abbreviations for NT? Like DM...no idea what it means, didn't see any nano with those initials, and doing a 2 letter search really doesn't work heh. So that and any other abbreviations I should know would be much appreciated, as well as any tips ofc

P.S. Very used to playing healing profs, so getting healing without some kind of nano help is a little outside of my expertise...tips on healing are very welcomed. Thanks!
P.P.S. It seems that there are extremely (completely?) different setups for solo and team play...is that an accurate perception?

Edit: Ok finally found dm...damn nano cubes ftl! lol

Okay-- some of the more common abbreviations I've seen:

    BUFFS

(The following abreviations are usually asked for as a group- "HE/CC/Range plz", or "PNH/IOR plz"... Enforcers/Martial Artists/Docs/Healers are the most common requesters of HE/CC or PNH/IOR, while Docs/Healers are the most common requesters for nano range buffs- usually in raid situations where they're expected to heal from afar, like Pandemonium's Beast).

    Nano Regeneration
HE = Humidity Extractor - usually refers to any nano regen buff the NT can cast; cast the best one you have uploaded
PNH = Personal Notum Harvester - our top nano regen buff
    Nano Cost Reduction
CC = CrunchCom (Nano Compressor) - usually refers to any nano cost reduction buff the NT can cast; cast the best one you have uploaded
JNL = Jobe Nano Libraries - our second-best (22%) nano cost reduction buff
IOR = Izgimmer's Obfuscated Recompiler - our best (28%) nano cost reduction buff
"Web"= Mocham's Neural Interface-Web - an MP Nano cost reduction buff; better than JNL (24% vs 22%), and lasts 120 minutes instead of just 70 minutes like JNL or IOR. Some players prefer the longer lasting 24% cost reduction over the shorter duration 28% cost reduction, but probably more due to the NCU requirement (Web requires 49 NCU, while IOR requires 55).
    Nano Range Increaser
"Range" = Person asking for "range" is looking for a nano range increasing buff.
SNC = Superior Nano Command - increases nano range by 67%; best nano range increaser that doesn't add to nano cost; it's rare to be asked for it, but sometimes the person asking has a hard time maintaining their nano pool and wants to preserve their nano points any way they can.
NO = Notum Overload - increases nano range by 104%, but adds 4% to nano cost.
NS = Neuronal Stimulator - +20 points to Intelligence and Psychic. If you hang around various Omni or Clan gathering areas, you'll be asked for this buff alot. Even after a few years though, it's slightly borked in that it only has a 1 meter range, requiring you to be almost standing on top of your target to cast it, unlike other stat buffs like Behe (Essence of Behemoth) or MoP (Mark of Peril) that have a 20 meter range. Not to be confused with Nullity Sphere (NS1) or Nullity Sphere Mk II (NS2).
IW = Izgimmer's Wealth - Nano pool self buff. Increases your max nano pool by 20,000 points. Casts Izgimmer's Notum Ravager (10 second duration) to help fill pool (900 to 1200 nano points added per second for the 10 second duration). While Izgimmer's Notum Ravager is filling your nano pool, it reduces your nano resist by 900 points and increases any nano damage done to you by 500%; In other words, don't use this during battle. NTs have long argued that IW is flawed because of the length of time it requires to refill our nano pool once it's been depleted.

    DEBUFFS

LotP = Lick of the Pest - Reduces Chemical AC by 5000 points for 67 seconds; generally pretty useless.
CB = Constant Barrage Does 2150 points of energy-based damage, reduces Nano AC (nano resist) of the target by 1000 points for one minute, and can stack on the target up to 3 times (meaning casting CB three times sequentially on an opponent can reduce the nano resist of the target by 3000 points); useful against high-NR PvP opponents if their nano resist isn't so high that CB won't hit them.
DF = Defensive Focus - not often referred to by it's initials, Defensive Focus prevents the casting of any LE Double or Triple nuke.
OF = Offensive Focus - not often referred to by it's initials, Offensive Focus prevents the casting of both Nullity Sphere and Nullity Sphere Mk II.
OP = Optic Plague - The latest addition to our Blind toolset, Optic Plague hits the target with a -499 Add All Offense modifier. Due to the whiners claiming it was overpowered, Funcom added Optic Plague Aftereffects to the effects locking out being able to recast Optic Plague on the same target for a period of time. Optic Plague Aftereffects does not block casting a different blind, such as Visions of the Void.

    DEFENSES

NS1 = Nullity Sphere - provides 14 seconds of 100% damage immunity, during which time you are rooted; recharge time is 6 seconds, and casts both Nullity Sphere Negative Feedback (1 minute duration) and Defensive Focus (30 minute duration) in your NCU. This means you have 8 seconds with which to plan your next move, if your opponent isn't standing over you waiting to stomp you like a narc at a biker rally. Most NTs won't bother with NS1 and skip to NS2.
NS2 = Nullity Sphere Mk II - provides 19 seconds of 100% damage immunity, during which time you are rooted; recharge time is 2 seconds, and casts both Nullity Sphere Negative Feedback and Defensive Focus in your NCU. Nullity Sphere Negative Feedback keeps you from casting NS1 and/or NS2 again for one minute, and Defensive Focus keeps you from casting LE nukes (doubles and triples) for 30 minutes.
NBG = Nanobot Guard - Transfers a high percentage of HP damage to your Nano Pool (depending on breed) for 25 seconds. Casts Nanobot Depletion (1 minute duration) and Partially Depleted Nanobots (30 minute duration) after 25 seconds. Considered our best PvP defensive shield in spite of the huge nano drain that Nanobot Depletion gives. Partially Depleted Nanobots will allow us to recast NBG (even if our nano pool isn't full), but not NBS.
NBS = Nanobot Shielding - Transfers a high percentage of HP damage to your Nano Pool (depending on breed) for 25 seconds, as well as adds a nano damage buff of 200% and 1000 points to Nano Init. Casts Nanobot Depletion (longer lasting 2 minute version of the one you get from NBG), and Depleted Nanobots (30 minute duration) after 25 seconds. Depleted Nanobots will not allow you to cast either Nanobot Guard or Nanobot Shielding. Most PvPing NTs shun this nano, saying it's useless due to locking out NBG, but I personally happen to like the temporary increase in damage in PvM.

    RK NUKES

(Damage listed is based on item descriptions and does not include nano damage buffs provided by items or nano programs.)

IEF = Izgimmer's Enveloping Flame - 2,249-3,074 points of fire damage. You will probably use this nano for so long you'll get sick of it, due to it's eventual ability to be instacast, low MC (Matter Creation) requirement and lack of level locks.
LDI = Localized Dimensional Inversion - 1294-2,415 points of melee damage. In spite of having a higher QL than IEF, it does less damage, has a lower nano cost and lower taunt. You'll instacast this nano before IEF, so you may be toying with LDI and IEF around the same level range.
CotP = Corruption of the Pest - 2270-5033 points of chemical damage; Level locked to 185+. Initially it was designed to be used with Lick of the Pest (LotP), they fell out of favor fast as Candycane and Resonance Blast proved to be better.
CC = Candycane - exactly 540 points of damage to all damage types (so 540 Melee damage, 540 Projectile damage, 540 Energy damage, 540 Fire damage, 540 Cold damage, 540 Chemical damage, 540 Poison damage, and 540 Radiation damage, for a sum total of 4380 damage); Level locked to 195+. Considered useful when raiding Biodomes to tell the raid group which damage types are being shielded. Not to be confused with the CrunchCom nano cost reduction buffs above- it's highly unlikely anyone would be asking to be nuked with Candycane.
RB = Resonance Blast - 3105-5970 points of radiation damage. Considered the best nuke available on Rubi-Ka, due to it's low combined casting time (capped at 1 second attack time, 2.5 second recharge time) and reduced taunt. Some have said that since The Shadowlands came out, RB's taunt reduction has become moot.
VE = Volcanic Eruption - Area of Effect (AoE) nuke that hits all enemies in a 20 meter range for 649-1402 points of fire damage; can eventually be instacast and has a 1.54 second recharge. Due to the very short recharge time, spamming Volcanic Eruption can technically out-damage an identically equipped NT spamming Kel's Neutronium Plaything, but in some raid groups is considered rude because the constant visual effect have a tendency to annoy people. Accidentally hitting PvP-flagged raid group members will flag you as well, so use caution.
"Kels" = Kel's Neutronium Plaything - Never referred to as "KNP" (dunno why- just never saw it referenced by it's initials); Area of Effect (AoE) nuke that hits all enemies in a 25 meter range for 2,400-3,155 points of radiation damage; Can eventually be instacast, but has a 7.5 second recharge time. Like Volcanic Eruption, accidentally hitting PvP-flagged raid group members will flag you as well.

    SL NUKES

    There is a level-locked nuke for each level from 213 to 220, but we generally don't refer to each of them individually by their initials-- The ones you'll will see referred to most often in these forums are;

TotP = Touch of the Pyre - 2150-4367 points of fire damage; Level locked to 165+ and requires a Jobe-chipped Cyberdeck; Extra damage will be dealt if the target has one of our AI DoTs running in his/her NCU. Commonly used by TL5 NTs when they want to use Nullity Sphere or Nullity Sphere Mk II, usually in PvP. (credit to Shrubberyman)
IU = Izgimmer's Ultimatum - 4826-8950 points of radiation damage; Level locked to 220 and requires an Izgimmer-modified Cyberdeck; Extra damage will be dealt if the target has one of our AI DoTs running in his/her NCU. This is our highest level SL nuke, with the highest average DPM (damage per minute) of any single NT nuke in the game. Funcom seems more interested in raising the damage of this nuke through the use of nano damage buffs rather than providing us with new higher-level, higher-damage yielding nano programs. Combining Izgimmer's Ultimatum with the AI DoT Self Illumination and the nuke Detonation Matrix (see descriptions below) will increase your average DPM dramatically over spamming IU alone.

    LE NUKES

All LE nukes will pierce any reflect shields the target my have, and casts Offensive Focus (see description above) in the NT's NCU. The combined damage of any individual Double or Triple nuke will do more damage than a single nuke from Izgimmer's Ultimatum, but spam-casting Doubles and Triples will result in a lower average damage-per-minute than spam-casting IU. Also, player and NPC nano initiative debuffs like UBT (Uncontrollable Body Tremors) have a considerably lower effect on the casting times of LE nukes, making them quite useful both in PvP and PvM situations.

ED = Enfraam's Double - 3166 - 5076 points of radiation damage per hit, x 2 hits; Some consider ED to be better than ID due to ED's higher minimum damage.
ET = Enfraam's Triple - 3500-5750 points of radiation damage per hit, x 3 hits; This nuke cannot be used in PvP. Use it strategically as a finishing nuke in PvM.

  3. #3
    LE NUKES (cont.)

ID = Izgimmer's Double - 3000-5750 points of radiation damage per hit, x2; Has a lower minimum damage, but a higher maximum damage than Enfraam's Double. As most of our nukes do minimum damage against higher level PvM mobs (with higher nano resistance), Enfraam's Double might be considered better.
IT = Izgimmer's Triple - 2500-5000 points of radiation damage per hit, x 3 hits; This nuke is the source of the term "triple-noob", used by both NTs and non-NTs to describe anyone who has power-leveled an NT for PvP without developing a defensive strategy.
MC = Mastablasta's Cataclysm - Area of Effect (AoE) nuke that hits all enemies in a 5 meter range for 4500-8000 points of radiation damage; Attack time is capped at 2 seconds, and recharge time is 5 seconds. Generally not considered a PvP nuke, Mastablasta's Cataclysm works well in high-level multi-mob close-combat raid groups like the Alien Playfields and Pandemonium, where a taunting tank is pulling aggro from 5+ mobs. In a solo situation it can make short work of a large number of green mobs, especially if combined with Nanobot Shielding (like in the Spirit Rooms of the various Shadowlands temples).

    SPECIAL NUKES

DM = Detonation Matrix - Detonation Matrix doesn't have any inate level or expansion requirements, but it requires a Nano Technician Nanodeck to be equipped in order to be cast (which has a level 215+ requirement, which you can only achieve with the Shadowlands expansion), and can only be made from parts that drop in the Alien Playfields (which requires the Alien Invasion expansion). In other words, you're not going to be using this nuke on a froob account. Alone, Detonation Matrix will do a mere 500 points of radiation damage. But if an AI DoT is running in the target's NCU, Detonation Matrix will do massive amounts of damage (the higher the QL of the AI DoT, the more damage Detonation Matrix will do).

    AI DOTS

All AI DoTs will do both an initial nuke and a insert a damage-over-time nano in the target's NCU. The initial nuke damage will increase depending on the NT's Ancient Matrix perk level. Having an Alien DoT running in your target's NCU will provide added damage all SL nukes and Detonation Matrix.

MC = Magma Covering = 741-761 points of fire-based damage per hit for 15 hits over a 36 second duration; Requires Alien Level 21 to cast.
SI = Self Illumination - 830-860 points of radiation based damage per hit for 17 hits over a 36 second duration; Requires Alien Level 24 to cast.

    PERKS

AM = Ancient Matrix - Ancient Matrix is our best Alien Perk, adding all sorts of buffs- Matter Creation, Time and Space, Nano Init., Nano Delta, and a few perks in the perkline even add to nano damage efficiency. The cumulative total buffs received by the time you've perked AM10 are: +52 to Matter Creation, +52 to Time & Space, +200 to Nano Init., +20 to Nano Delta, and +3% to Nano Damage. Furthermore, Ancient Matrix provides the following perk specials:
Flim Focus - Available at AM1, this is supposed to increase your Nano Init. by 10%, but it doesn't quite do that- My Nano Init. is currently 3170, with a base skill of 1342... After using Flim Focus, my Nano Init. only increases to 3280- an increase of 110 points, which isn't even 10% of my base skill. At the lower levels the increase does feel much more noticeable, though
Utilize - Available at AM6, Utilize must have Flim Focus running in your NCU to work and is a direct damage attack that will increase as you continue to train the Ancient Matrix perkline. At each perk level, Utilize will do the following:
    Utilize @ AM6 = 1000-1200 Radiation damage
    Utilize @ AM7 = 1300-1500 Radiation damage
    Utilize @ AM8 = 1700-1900 Radiation damage
    Utilize @ AM9 = 2000-2200 Radiation damage
    Utilize @ AM10 = 2200-2500 Radiation damage
Program Overload - Available at AM10, Program Overload will have one of two effects; For the most part, 99 times out of 100 Program Overload will give you a 20% nano damage efficiency buff. Unfortunately there's a 1 out of 100 chance that Program Overload will hit you with a -3000 nano stats debuff (32 second duration) and drain you of 9000-10000 nano points.
UPDATE - Program Overload is slated to be changed in upcoming perk modifications, and it's possible that the debuff will be removed.

CoN = Channeling of Notum - This is a team nano regeneration aura. The more the NT trains this perkline, the more nano points can be generated over time. There is an unfortunate side effect- Apparently CoN's aura is considered a hostile nano program cast by you, and if you happen to enter a PvP zone (such as a tower site in 25% gas), at the end of the cycle where CoN refreshes it will automatically end your grace period - so if you decide to train this perk use caution when traversing areas with low suppression gas.
Channeling of Notum 1 = 25 nano points regenerated every 14 seconds
Channeling of Notum 2 = 60 nano points regenerated every 13 seconds
Channeling of Notum 3 = 90 nano points regenerated every 12 seconds
Channeling of Notum 4 = 170 nano points regenerated every 11 seconds

CoNC = Champion of Nano Combat - Another Alien Perk, CoNC will cumulatively add up to 100 points to all nano statistics (if you train all 10 levels) as well as provide the following direct damage perk attacks:
Nano Feast - Available at CoNC5, This is a direct damage attack that will increase in strength as you train more perks in the CoNC line. Even more damage is possible if Fuzz is running in the target's NCU (from the Champion of Heavy Artillery perkline):
Nano Feast @ CoNC5 = 440-552 points of Chemical damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC6 = 624-800 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC7 = 736-1360 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC8 = 1440-2240 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC9 = 2320-2960 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC10 = 2800-3840 points of Chemical Damage
    With Fuzz running:
Nano Feast @ CoNC5 with Fuzz = 550-690 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC6 with Fuzz = 780-1000 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC7 with Fuzz = 920-1700 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC8 with Fuzz = 1800-2800 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC9 with Fuzz = 2900-3700 points of Chemical Damage
Nano Feast @ CoNC10 with Fuzz = 3500-4800 points of Chemical Damage
Bot Confinement - Available at CoNC10, this will do 1900-2100 points of Fire damage, and reduce the nano damage efficiency of the target by 20%.
NR = Notum Repulsor - The bane of the NT, perking Notum Repulsor reduces nano statistics while raising nano resist. The abbreviation "NR" can also refer to the "Nano Resist" skill. NTs require nano statistics to cast our nanos, so we don't generally use the Notum Repulsor perkline much, although PvPing NTs may perk NR1 to add to their nano resistance skill. Non-NTs using Notum Repulsor are much harder to land nukes and debuffs on. Buff effects for each perk in the Notum Repulsor perkline are cumulative- a player perking NR8 will not be able to cast anything (-8000 to all nano stats), but has a staggering 20,000 points added to nano resist. It is rare to find someone perking NR8 though.
NS = Notum Siphon - Not to be confused with the INT/PSY buff Neuronal Stimulator or the defensive shields Nullity Sphere and Nullity Sphere Mk II, training Notum Siphon will help you regenerate your Nano Points faster as well as add some points to Matter Creation:
Notum Siphon 1 = 50 Nano points every 10 seconds, and +3 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 2 = 90 Nano points every 10 seconds, and +4 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 3 = 130 Nano points every 9 seconds, and +5 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 4 = 190 Nano points every 9 seconds, and +6 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 5 = 200 Nano points every 8 seconds, and +7 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 6 = 215 Nano points every 8 seconds, and +8 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 7 = 240 Nano points every 7 seconds, and +10 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 8 = 260 Nano points every 7 seconds, and +11 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 9 = 300 Nano points every 7 seconds, and +13 Matter Creation
Notum Siphon 10 = 417 Nano points every 5 seconds, and +18 Matter Creation
While the buff to Matter Creation is cumulative (allowing a total of +85 Natter Creation at NS10), the amount of regenerated nano points is not. Furthermore, you will receive the following perk specials:
Fade Anger - Available at NS4, This is a taunt reduction perk. The more you train in Notum Siphon, the greater the detaunt effect will be when used (not cumulative).
    Fade Anger @ NS4 = -4000 Taunt
    Fade Anger @ NS5 = -5000 Taunt
    Fade Anger @ NS6 = -6500 Taunt
    Fade Anger @ NS7 = -8200 Taunt
    Fade Anger @ NS8 = -11000 Taunt
    Fade Anger @ NS9 = -15000 Taunt
    Fade Anger @ NS10 = -20000 Taunt
Tap Notum Source - This is a short duration large nanopoints healing over time with an affinity for the Shadowlands. On Rubi-Ka, Tap Notm Source will add 400 points to your nano pool every two seconds for 14 seconds (for a total of 2800 nano points regenerated); But if you are in the Shadowlands, Tap Notum Source will add 1050 Nano Points to your nano pool every two seconds for 14 seconds (for a total of 7350 nano points regenerated).
UPDATE - Tap Notum Source is slated to be changed in upcoming perk modifications, and it's possible that the regeneration of nanopoints will be the same on Rubi-Ka as The Shadowlands (1050 points every two seconds for fourteen seconds).

    HOPEFULLY COMING SOON

KoK = Kicker of Kel - PvP knockback nano; pushes all your enemies away, and temporarily stuns them so you can escape. Hopefully Funcom will work out the kinks to the knockback nano programs and we'll have a new defensive tool.

Did I miss any of the most common abbreviations? I didn't bother with "general" abbreviations that all professions seem to use in discussions, like MC (Matter Creation), 2HB (2-Hand Blunt), AAO (Add All Offense) and the like.
