That is the same nano, a DoT called Complex Nano Contagion. All the dot's work this way. If i get DoT'ed in a mission it will do teh normal damage, and then when I zone out the damage will go down. Is that because DoT's are supposed to be affected by AC's, and it's not picking it up till after zone?
Had this problem since as long as I can remember. Most likely other people are experiencing the same thing, although not all may notice it.
I know this probably shouldn't have been posted here (feel free to move it), but figured I'd post it here anyway because I was looking at the q&a and it occured to me.

Before zoning it's considered a hostile enemy Mob DoT, after zoning the originator of the DoT is lost so I guess you're assumed to be the owner and hence it becomes PvP damage, which is halved, at least that's my guess and it effects all DoT's the same from what I've experienced.

He is the leader of the MP community. Which include neutrals, omni, and clan. He can't be hating on his own community. That's counter-productive.

Here's a question for Means...

WTF is going on with the professionals program? There's professions without any (Advies? I don't know what others), professions with professionals waiting to step down (NT), people have sent Famine enquiries about qualifying/applying for the professional program (me) and have had no answer in months...

I get more mileage out of going on IRC and testlive. This should not be.

We don't have any immediate plans for implementing an in-game mail system or account wide banks. From a technical standpoint these two systems can introduce a whole new set of issues and would represent months of work. The coders are already very busy with new features and the new engine. The mail system I am not a huge fan of personally...as I like that people congregate together to exchange items/credits...it is social and nice to actually see each other now and then. I have played other games with these systems in place and never really liked that I could not see members of my org for weeks at a time..yet exchange items etc with them all the time. Travel in AO is really quick and easy...so a quick visit with your friends never felt like a "bad" thing for me.

I don't see how having a mailing system precludes meeting people. We still will want to meet people when preferred. There's a mailing system in Warhammer but I see my orgmates there every single day - you have to pay some money to send them stuff, but the added convenience of sending that cool item you just found straight to the guy, before you forget, is just fantastic.

The advantages of mailing system:
1) Reaching offline people <-No.1!
2) Sending stuff between the same characters of your own account (yes froobs and duallogging is possible but this is the only MMO where multiboxing isn't considered the lamest crap reserved for no-life losers...)
3) And obviously don't have to be in the same place at the same time

To dislike the system based on the off chance that (3) will cause people to not congregate anymore is really quite myopic.

Sure from a technical standpoint it might be hard for AO to implement. Fair enough. But how about a guild bank then?

Exactly man. I look forward to seeing the friday with means, just to see whats going on with the development of the game. Now I don't even read the thread, just search for all by posts by means.

Just had a crazy thought (after finishing a beast raid) why not let the new Xan Combat/Defence boards become tradeskillable with the Sigil of Bahomet would allow some nice upgrades, shouldn't be as much as the token boards but would give an alternative to those without tokens, like Neutrals and people too lazy to farm tokens, like Neutrals

there had never been any garantee at any point of the professionals program that ignoring "us" wasnt the standard

the problem is all the NDA stuff. anything we did help to change/fix/impliment.. and its the issue of, is it NDA or not?

and really.. its not about bragging, its about getting things done.

essentially, our primary goals have always been 1. maintain "wish list", 2. maintain "bug list".

I've got to hand it to SG, he takes his job IMMENSELY seriously.

He spends so much time scrutinising and testing EVERY. SINGLE. ASPECT. of the MP game play experience, toolset, item, environment, pets, level locks, if/how level effects ANYTHING, that he's still TL5.
