History:
ShadowMercs was formed as a merger between the Mercenaries and ShadowGuard organizations.
General information:
ShadowMercs is a friendly, fairly large omni org. Most of us can speak english and are often on ventrillo. We also have a website, forums, org bot (BeBot), and a large QL 300 city in CoT. The org is also very active in towers, mostly at tl7 and tl5, but we often do tl3 and tl4 as well. (tl1 and tl2 towers we do only occasionally.) We are very active for PvP - if you don't plan on showing up to attack and defend towers this is not the org for you.
The largest number of our members (40-50%) are in US timezones; however, we also have many members in European and Australian timezones. Also one fake aussie in a Singaporean timezone!
As far as how much PvM and PvP we do, its probably around 70% PvP and 30% PvM. PvM we tend to do in blocks and try to get it over with as quickly as possible.
PvP:
We are active in tower PvP at pretty much all levels. We also do a lot of battlestation and duels at tl5 and tl7.
PvM:
Our main PvM focuses are beast, 12 man, db1/2, and albtraum. We also do a bit of Alapaa, Dustbrigade, and other RK raids. HI/biodome we typically do only if an established member specifically needs loot.
Recruiting:
The most important requirement for joining is a good knowledge of the game mechanics. We take people at all levels, but it is helpful to have an endgame tl7 character and a twink or two (most of our members do). If you are interested in joining you should take a look at our forums and website (still semi under construction). If you like the look of the org then post a thread on our New Recruits forum and contact one of our officers to set up an interview.
