PvP NT

ok so quite a while ago I built career 150 NT for lvling toons and making some extra cash. It worked well. But, as all NT's know, you can only run in circles for so long before needing a barf bag and getting erked at ID10T's that don't understand what "Sit there and don't move" means.

So, since then FC has a wonderful glitch that I can not open my NT account back up at the moment. With that in mind, I have done the kiter and now am looking at a 174 PvP NT. However I am not that great or even good at setting up PvP toons, and as the 150 kiter was the highest I had taken an NT I am not certain about where to go/how to setup for pvp.

Yes, I searched the forums for information... very lacking in my opinion. Doubles Triples BS raids, why everyone hates NT's, and the like.

Any advice towards gear would be greatly appreciated and nano setups.

Profiteer's helper ... very nice for low HP setup, I was always looking for ways to get more runspeed. WTB clan version.

Anyways, If you value NR over dodge, then shroud instead of notucomm is the way to go. Personally, I don't think NR really 'works' like it should so I go Notucomm. plus I like to swap back items and kill people in Neleb's robe.

As for equipment, not too many people experiment too much. If you are daring, you can try Officers/paramedics setup, use NS2/TOTP and likely, do very well with it. I'm especially eager to see someone take an Atrox with that approach. I think it would work well, even better with the wen wen from inferno.

At TL7 yes, at TL5 I don't know, since no NBG which is a big benefit from low HP.

NBG quest is not level locked, every NT twink should have it.

At tl7, low-hp NBG monkeys sneak, then live 25 seconds, then die or hide.

I wouldn't recommend going extremely low hp at tl5. You won't get enough nano to last 25 seconds with NBG anyway (my nanomage has about 9k nano). Too high hp will make you win against all other NTs, but caps will hurt, so you'll have to choose an optimal amount for yourself. Trox with NSII and alb wen-wen sounds like an interesting idea though.

What crap, only time I sneak is with GTH running or sometimes in guard nerf period.


With such small caps and hots/survival running it makes a very good defence, proving don't meet something like SnD.

im not quite sure but the optimal hp seems to be around 4k, u will get 970ish capped (with shelter) that can be healed by one stim. i dunno which is the optimal though, just the fact that i pwned all omni nts in duels so far (without NBG cuz i dont have it)... could not kill some clanner nts though (tho they used NBG )

You know, 4k hp is just triple + nano feast. Death in 2 seconds (well, 5 if you count OS first). An NT with insane evades could probably beat a fixer/soldier/agent/ranged advy if they're too gimpy to land any regular hits, but that's about it. NTs will kill you in 5 seconds, melee profs even faster.

you'll do just fine sans NBG (at tl5), don't listen to anyone saying you "need" it

and you don't need 174 either, 165 or 170 for extra perk is fine enough. way too many 210+'s sniffing around tl5 tower battles to max level.

I'll list my setup if I can find it somewhere, not the best you can do, but trust me it worked fine. well played NT > best equipped NT anyway

as far as hp, meh, wouldn't worry about twinking one way or another on that, there's always times when it's an advantage, and times when it's a curse; I assume you'llbe doing alot of BS's, so going with a balanced setup is always mroe appropriate than a specialized one there.

I tried 4k HP, I was far too squishy, and as a TL5 solitus NBG was good for making sure I died with an empty nanopool and not much else. I'm at 5k HP now (which gives me a cap I can almost but not quite heal with a single stim, but I also use first aid healperk, which combined with a stim gives enough healing that people sometimes think I've got a doc ) and it seems much better. I'm considering getting a token board and maxing body dev. BS isn't anywhere near as agent-intensive as it used to be.

RE: 165 vs 174, one more perk won't matter much I don't think. The extra IP will I think let you max concealment and perception, rather than just one of these. I keep mine at 167, for towers and for rolling QL200 missions

NBG is a crutch and it sucks at TL5. If you NEED NGB at TL5 to kill someone, you aren't a twink, you're an embarrassment.
