ps you should join this channel if you are looking for the doc pistols. I have seen people selling them at odd hours and for whatever reason they don't appreciate my offer of 10mil ;P

anywho if i see someone selling them i immediately go to channel and try to announce, so its a good place for that.

i have a crappy little computer that i run our org bot on (using vhabot), and it works just fine. do you need somebody to run all the bots or just the botdr?

either way, i'm not the best with maintaining, but i do know what i'm doing (i have a comp. sci degree). If all you need is a reliable internet connection, then i've got that. but if it needs a server or a higher-powered pc, then thats not what i would use.

All it needs is vhabot x3 and 3 AO accounts to cover the bot names, I am using 1 paid account and 2 other freebees. We would have to co-ordinate me killing my characters and you creating the new ones to reflect the bot names.

thats easy enough... but what about the current rosters and plugins and databases? you only use 1 bot, or do you need slave bots?

I use 3 independent vhabots all running on same machine, as for the current info/rosters, I could zip you the entire directories easily enough.

On the chatserver you can multi-log characters from the same account (Try it with Aorc or a bot), so you could run 24 characters per account, 8 on each server.

edit: never mind. i see now. its 8 characters per server. so you'd really only need 2 accounts, since 2 can handle up to 48 characters, and 14/server is needed (42 total)

The only problem with doing it that way is that if 1 bot is abused and gets the account banned, all get banned.

Pretty low risk for these bots, admittedly, just making a note for someone who might pull this thread up while researching some other form of bot network (infonet, etc).

Keep the individual bots on separate accounts if you have a worry that one of them may get banned. More work to admin, less to recover from in the event of a problem.
