    Bump for a very well elaborated idea. I am sure it would open the possibilty for a lot of players to wear social clothing now and then if we do not have to spend 2 hours (or more, some weapons can only be put on with several perk resets) twinking afterwards. And I think the OP has thought of solutions for the mayor obstacles. This won't hurt anybody, just make a lot of people happy.

    I like the idea. I usually go leet if I go to social events just to hide my weapons etc but would be nice to stay human and wave beer and pie about instead.

    Pip, Arrien, i do know that this has been mentiond before, and that is whay i tried to make it more detailed than before, and also, im doing a lot of ingame advertizing of this link inorder to get more ppl involved in this push on FC. hopefluly to make a differance this time though it is a slim chacne

    AO is unique in its community aspect (this I know big time) and social desires, it is VERY worth going out of Funcom's way to find a way to do this.

    I support most parts of this idea. Though, i would say, leave attack and being able to attack independent from this.

    Making yourself non-attackable (flag or not doesn't matter) looks pretty much exploitable to me.

    Instead, just make sure that stat modifiers of the social tab are never applied to the character and stats from your combat tab are only applied when it is active.

    Thus you're somewhat weaker in combat mode (note: even if you put armour in your social tab, the armour modifiers also would not apply), you don't gain any advantage (like not being attackable) from it but you can easily change your look.
