We have a Bureaucrat wish list but we think it is time to have it updated, since it has been a year since last time and we have had a new expansion and a peek into what will come in the near future with the 17.2 update.
The items listed is still valid, though some things has changed in the game, and maybe the priority of the list isn't up to date anymore, therefore we will have FC make a poll with the suggestion you come up with, and then make a new an updated list based on the result. Feel free to list things that are already on the current list.
Let the wishing begin
--------------------------------------------------
Current Wish list summary:
A new nuke designed for PvP.
We would like a new nuke for PvP with about doubled damage and lowered defense check. Our current Nuke "Rule of One" is almost never used in PvP due to the very low damage and long recharge. A new nuke could also have a secondary effect like debuffing Nano resist, Root/Snare immunity or add a small stun. Adding a debuf would also aid the Bureaucrat in holding the target and perform a more supportive role. A new nuke should use PM as primary attack skill since our MC skill is much lower due to the higher IP cost.
A role for Bureaucrats in Raid encounters.
Currently Bureaucrats have no role in raid encounters since the monsters in the raids are for the most part immune to our toolset, a good example is the Biodome raid where we have to get our 220 pet, having a crat in the raid to get the key for the Biodome makes no difference since the adds are immune to roots/snares and calms and there are nothing nearby that do decent damage, so having a crat in the raid is pointless. Other raid encounters have the same issue, Mercs, Hollow Island, EFP soldiers etc. Also in Pandemonium we have no role other than dealing damage. Our other contribution to a team is generally not needed since the release of SL, AI and LE since other players already have a very high Attack rate and defense, so our Commanding Presence and Motivational Speeches has little to no effect on players during raids and high level encounters.
We would like that in future raids that we have a role to play and at least something that non 220 Bureaucrats can use as charms and feel like they are contributing to the raid.
Updated Corporate Guardian between 205 and 220.
Tests have proven that even the Corporate Guardian is not very effective compared to QL200 pets of any profession, please improve this bot. One suggestion that was given is to allow the bot to occasionally take a hit or damage intended for the Bureaucrat, It is a bodyguard, after all. By level 220, the current Robotic Pet is very underpowered considered to the powers of other professions. The damage done in PvP by a corporate guardian is often hardly noticeable. As a result, Bureaucrat under level 220 find great difficulty PvPing without any charms and a severely weak pet as their only options. We suggest adding a 212 and 218 Bots... it's OK for the bots to be weaker than opposing pet classes, but we should be able to use them effectively in PvP... a way to do this is not to improve their min damage, but to up their max damage.. also increased hit points are needed on higher bots, the current level is too weak for endgame content.
Rework of our 220 pet "Carlo Pinetti".
We would like to see buffs for Carlo / Charms others than regular player buffs, defensive buffs for instance (like the buffs that affect our bot).
New Bureaucrat only defensive bufs or items.
With the release of Lost Eden the difference between our defense and others offense has become even greater. Our bufs has not seen any improvements unlike other professions that has gotten improved versions of their defensive nanos with the release of the Shadowlands Expansion. As an example Soldiers have gotten AMS and Fixers new improved HoT's. Also since Lost Eden is mainly a PvP expansion that bypass our pets as a defensive measure against damage, we do not stand much of a chance if we are attacked.
We would like to see improved versions of our Speeches or a new line of self only bufs that can help our defense mainly in PvP, or defensive items that can be placed in wrist, finger or utils slots that adds more defense/evades. Something that can block special attacks or perk attack, or eventually transfer damage to our pets would be good solutions as well.
New or updated Crowd Control Tools.
With the release of Shadowlands Expansion the Bureaucrat's lost most of their ability to do crowd control. The Bureaucrat was the best profession for Crowed Control on Rubi-Ka and in the Shadowlands both NT and Traders have better tools than we have. Our Shadowland calms are no longer calms but long term stuns that hardly ever wipe the hate list of monsters and therefore pocess a great danger to the team when calm is broken, we have no Snares to use, and our roots are very short duration and breaks very fast, and has a low hit success rate to be an option, also we have no longer the the ability to do area calms or use our Fear nano line.
The loss of our crowed control ability is a great concern to the Bureaucrat community, and have made many players leave the profession, since the ability to turn chaos into order was the thing that had most appeal about the Bureaucrat profession.
We would like to see our Shadowland Calm's be brought up to date with the calms that Trader and NT's have, and a new snare line that can be used in shadowlands along with updated Area roots that has a better land rate than the current ones.
A new endgame back item.
Since the early levels the Bureaucrat has had a unique back items in form of the Bureaucrat Suit from Biomare, Nelly Johnsons Little Black dress, Meisters Reinforced Suit and the Monitor Smoking Suit, these back items has given us a unique look and made us stand apart from other professions, but when we reach the endgame we look just like any other evade profession.
We would like a new back items that is valid for the Bureaucrat's endgame that make us stand out from the crowed and make us look unique again.
Add new Bureaucrat only weapon's.
We would like to have a second choice to pistols like shotguns or Bureaucrat only Pistols that are valid in PvP (has Aimed Shot). We would also like to have access to Shotgun Mastery to reduce the IP sink in our weapon skills. Due to the very low AR that Bureaucrats have compared to most other professions defense, we would like that the defense check was less than 100% so we actually have a chance to hit other players with more than just Aimed Shot. Weapons could also have a debuffing proc effect that can aid the Bureaucrat in using his other tools like roots and stuns.
Better Root/Snares/Stuns designed for PvP.
Lost Eden has changed the way PvP is done with the introduction of the Battlestation PvP but also changes in how Tower wars are done. PvP is much more dynamic so the ability to hold a target or control a crowed has become more important. However the majority of the professions has a very large immunity to our tools either through bufs or Perklines that adds immunity to roots and snares, and professions like Fixers, Keeper, Adventurer, and Martial Artists can achieve pretty much total immunity to roots and snares, and that makes the Bureaucrats very little useful in Team based PvP like the battle stations. Especially for the Non 220 Bureaucrats this is an important role to play since they do not have access to a high damage pet, not to ignore the fact that others simply outrun our pets.
We would like some PvP designed root/snares/stuns/calms that actually land and hold our targets like they are supposed to, thus giving the Bureaucrat a role to play in PvP, even if he is not 220.
A rework of our perklines Bureaucratic Shuffle & Commanding Presence.
Our perks aren't very good, and they are perk point intensive. Note the number of perk points required to master in the below descriptions. Some specific problems are:
- All other casting professions get more total nano skill bonuses than us.
- It is also disappointing that there are no perks to enhance our Charms and that our perk aura doesn't boost our pets.
- Commanding Presence: 10 level perk with no specials of any kind. Some personal modifiers and perks would be nice considering the 10 pt investment.
- Directorship: 10 level perk. This line becomes useless to the crat at 220 (even with research) and takes many weeks to untrain (until 17.2). Insurance Agent has a similar problem. Enhancing Personal Modifiers or adding extra beneficial perks for 220 crats would be very useful.
- Bureaucrat Shuffle: 10 level perk, passive bonuses provided by the perk line(+220 hp, +40 to DogeRng, EvadeCls, Duck) are underpowered. This is likely one of the biggest investment, lowest return on investment lines in game, also the perk ****ials in this line uses Psychology as attack skill, a skill that most 220 Bureaucrats reset since it has no use.
- Bureaucrats should get the option to train pistol perks all the way to 10 perks rather than just 8. Since our AR modifier > 1000 AR is so low we are mainly benefiting for equipping weapons and with the extra perk we receive.
A better Psychic debuf.
We often have problems finding charms in Inferno and Pandemonium due to the high Psycic level of the mobs, the general psychic buf is not enough to charm a Level 240 Vortex or Anasi/Spinetoth so we would like a better debuf that saves us a lot of time searching for doable charms in inferno. Also the monsters in Inferno Hard missions are often to high level to be used as charms, especially for lower level Bureaucrats.
Rework of our Gallant Slave and Pet Taunt nanos.
The Gallant Slave nanoline is not very useful to Bureaucrats due to the level restrictions. We often are in the situation that there are not any mobs around that we can buf, since they are 2-5 levels higher than the nano allows us. A good example is Adonis where the only useful charm is the huge Molock that is a great annoyance to other players, and when there are plenty of other mobs around that could be used instead if it was possible to buf them up to a decent level. Also on Rubi-Ka and in RK missions we have no use for this nano line due to the same limits.
We would also like to see updates to our Pet Taunt Line, currently only our robotic pet can be buffed with these nanos and unless the Bureaucrat is in a team, these nanos are not used due to the Robotic Pet taunting to much and dies almost instantly. Unlike other pet professions we have no bufs for our main pets Carlo Pinetti/Charms this is a huge limit to our abilities in many situations, since we have no control over which pet is supposed to generate the most taunt, and the game mechanics seems to dictate that the lower HP a mob has, the more it taunts. We would like to see a selection of bufs for our Charms and Carlo Pinetti similar to Engineer Trimmers and pet bufs so we can achieve the same level of aggro management/pet survivability as other pet professions have.
We would like to see the level restrictions removed so we can buf our charms and make them more useful, and it would be a great + if the nanos was actually for sale in the SL gardens.
An update to our Motivational Speeches and Demotivational Speeches at TL7+.
Our speeches are getting old and do no longer really make an impact on other players, since they already have enough offensive and defensive skills to perform perfectly OK, and the bufs to the Bureaucrat is no longer sufficient. Also the Demotivational speeches are not effective enough for the current game. We would like to see that other players have a need to invite a Bureaucrat to a team to perform better, as an example if we had a Demotivational Speech that actually could make a difference to lower the NR of mobs in SL so that other support professions could perform better would be nice. Also the benefits from our Motivational speeches needs to be updated just like other professions have had updates to their primary defenses.
We would like to see that our Demotivational speeches had the debufs increased and be applied to others so that would have a use in PvP as well as PvM, and the Motivational speeches increase as well to fit the current game. Combining speeches would be a nice option so that you at 220 can have a speech running that adds 2 or more bufs at once.
Lost Eden procs triggered by pets.
Lost Eden added a number of procs to our skills, but since these are triggered by the player and not our pets/charms, they are not that useful to us, since our play style dictates that we do not shoot that much on monsters when we are alone. Our pets are the primary weapon and some of the procs would add some protection to the pets and the Bureaucrat are never triggered because we do not attack the mobs ourself.
We would like to see an option that allow us to select or choose pet or player triggered procs, so that we gain the same benefits as other players without pets has.
