What about outside their usual server?

It is sad to see GC going this way. I used to go to a few when I played on RK1 and nearly always read the logs despite nearly always playing on RK2. It's a nice thing you have that Rimor lacks.

Maybe I should pop along now and then... if you decide to have any more. I hope you do.

Yeah... you know I would have tried it before, but a year or two ago there was talk that we didn't need one because we had the OOC chatbots. So I assumed it wouldn't be very popular.

That was the reason most people on Rimor cited, Red. With an OOC Chat Bot that ran 24/7 there wasn't much of a need to have a monthly meeting to rehash the same things that were discussed in the channel.

It's a shame to hear about the GCs but it's the nature of things. Hopefully as one initiative fades another will be born.

Mhmm, I think I remember getting an email to that effect.

TBH I never agreed. People join chatbots at various times and don't always see if any discussion has taken place, or when there might be discussion. There aren't any logs so you can't check to see if you missed something.

With a meeting, you know that discussion will be taking place at a certain time and can more easily join in. If you miss it, then the logs will be available and you'd be able to look over text that you'd never normally see from informal bot chat that happened while you weren't around.

Yeah we got an OOC bot running on Atlantian too, mostly for BSing, and chating with the players. In a way it helps with character seperation, and it's just fun. I'd like to see more IC stuff happening on CH42, however I'm on a different timezone then most so I have to just live with that.

I havn't been to a GC meeting in monthes ether, so I'm just as guilty. Ether I have something planned or I forget all about it.

Shortly: yes.

Slightly longer answer: Rubi-Ka Standard Time (RST) is basically same as GMT, but as GMT is outdated, RST is actually same at UTC (Coordinated Universal time).
