IC is what the character knows or says in a given situation.and i was also wondering about the difference between IC and OOC.
Can i get some idea of this?
OOC is all the other stuff...conversation about RL, game mechanics, etc. (Well, sometimes you can work game mechanics into IC chat. Most of the time that seems really awkward, though.)
As a fairly close analogy, think of when a movie is being made--the characters' lines in the script are IC, while OOC would be all the "behind the scenes" stuff. The main difference is in RP you basically ad-lib the script.
