I tried by my self to solo in Inferno. I'm now at lvl 210. All the time i get agro. Only for some moments, before my Pets can get it back, but often i die before.
Is this because i 'run' ... or do i need to stand in the back ob the mob, or maybe, Its normal, an i only need more HPs and Evades /addAllDeff ??

Good trick at start till you feel more confident in solo'ing is to avoid LoS with the mob you are killing. Stand behind a rock/tree where the mob can't see you but you are still within your pets range. Having high amount of HP on crat will never hurt you since we have 0 healing. so will not get getting hit so evades/AAD will help aswell

Huhu Shevaya,

OK, to stay out of line of sight is a normal 'trick'. I just wanted to know if 'runnging' takes agro. Normaly when i get agro i start to try to root, and to run around until the agro is switched back to one of my pets.

What I realiced now is, that I first need to send the charmed pets in. The robo will stay longer, and the robo can not take the agro to me.

Someone ever tried concelment?

rooting is not always a good option
crat roots have a taunt attached to em.

Try hitting a grey mob in SL..it will run away from you, right?
then root it and the mob will go into aggro mode and start fighting you instead.

so in general rooting gives you more aggro. SO only use it if you must.

puissant void inertia was 3.2K taunt or so...

the range of the mobs in SL makes roots less usefull, since you cant realy get out of hit range before your get in trouble with pet range, and if a mob is aggroing you, you have a 1 sec cap on casting the root so it will be in your face before its rooted and then you have to run around to loose aggro again.

soloing in Pen I root the mob pretty often.... just to prevent it from running towards me wich gives me a much better chance to escape if I catch aggro, it seems to me that when the mob cant move, the pets gain aggro much faster and I hardly ever get hit.

What about snare ? It doesnt break on every attack and acts like a root. With a good AR, it lands often on inf boss and can save your back. Just stay out of range, refresh it and you should be safe (i did that with LOTV before it kills all my pets...)

Hei hei :-)

when i'm fiting again normal inferno mobs, i root them always. The range of the non Bosses is very short. It's very easy to kill them on that way.

But at bosses you are absolutly right, the range is to large.

In the last days I tested a little bit around with agro and pets.

When I first send my Charmed pet it will hold the agro for the first 3or 4 bubbles. Then the agro switches for a short moment to me.
After 2 or 3 bubles I can send in my robo. That doesent change anithing on agro switching. At this point I can send in a Melissa to. And after the 4th Buble I can start to shot.
I still get agro, but not more often as I would get when I didn't use my robo and guns.

The distance to the mob looks like a very important thing. I get much more often agro when i near at the mob.

The problem is, that one ore two hits from a boss mob will kill me.

Looks like I need more evades, hp, aad ...

It looks like running does not do any diference to the agro switching.

I have problem landing snares, useually need 2-4 tries to land it, where roots lands 100% or close to (SL root that is) even with a CI on top snares is hard to land in pen

SL root lands as often as SL calm, but breaks on every hit.... So it will save you if you are running, but not if you are fighting....

A strategy I recently started using is to stand where my aura will hit my tank pet, and juggle the crit aura, aad aura AND nano resist aura so they are always running on me and my tank pet (sometimes all my pets if its an easy one and I want to just kill him quickly, also if im shooting at them as well), this helps the tank keep more aggro (anansi crits etc) and gives me some extra NR in case its a dyna that nukes/debuffs.

Do the auras have a taunt attached to them when cast though?

there is no taunt to the motivational aura's of the crat
they aren't like the offensive aura an engie has for example (which do taunt btw)

I think it's only when you use coils/rechargers. I dont get more aggro when i sit, although i may be lucky...

Just did Steele Filar with Bot + Cosset + Ergo, i didnt have to redo short charm and sit all the fight.... no aggro

if i sit and use a coil/recharger i usually grab aggro
and with the crit modifier on those it's a good thing to stand up before you get critted

That's why i sit without using healing kits. The healdelta (160ish) is better than the coils i use anyway
