It seems there is absolutely no "large patch of hard bronto hide" parts in the game (tunic). this results in the impossibility to complete a full bronto armor.
should be fixed in the next patch.
I can´t say for sure, since I´m not at home, but I think my Engie got one once (low QL though).

I have collected at least a thousand bronto pieces personally.
No large hard.
There are many threads on this board to confirm this from other hunters.
+ the usual posts offering millions for stuff noone can find.
The reason there is confusion is that there
are 6 pieces with very similar names:
Large Patch of Hard Bronto Hide :: Tunic <-not dropping
Large Patch of Soft Bronto Hide :: Pants
Patch of Hard Bronto Hide :: Boots
Patch of Soft Bronto Hide :: Sleeve
Small Patch of Hard Bronto Hide :: Hood
Small Patch of Soft Bronto Hide :: Gloves
I have bag loads of all kinds. I've killed brontos for hours for days.
Unless the chest piece is supposed to be as rare as pre-14.2 Team Beacon Warp,
it's a bug.
well technically the PPPE for shape soft armor shouldn't be droppingso you shouldn't be able to make any of the armor from what I was told the armor proccess should be fixed in 14.6

the large hard piece is dropping. not off brontos. its only found in mission chests(team or solo i believe). I found one a long time ago and threw it out because i thought the ppe's werent in..i have a reference of the tanned skin tho...

You could not have had the large hard piece.... I tried to by all the pieces awhile ago... The Large Hard piece which is used to make a chest piece is not in game yet. If you think you have it, check before you respond... you probably have a Large Soft (makes pants... or just a piece of Large Bronto Hide.... or something similar there are a bunch of different pieces, but no one is known to have ever had the Large Hard piece...
lol..i have about 50 bags full of other bronto hide..trust me id know if i had one. just for reference..i did find mine on test server...so there might be a difference between test/live
Of course, all of this is moot, because you arent even suppose to be able to make armor yet.

Erm... My opinion... Every claimed instance of bronto tunic piece is: I think I have one, my cousin's ex-wife's mailman has one, or I had one but I sold it... Hence, the evidence for it's existance ranks it right up there with bigfoot and the loch ness monster.
All this talk of "large hard pieces" or "large hard parts" is starting to make me blush!
