it seems the advertising post about nrpb in the life on rimor forum goes down too fast. I gonna post one here too *smile*
Besides this is the rp forum and the bot is all about rp.

Nrpb is kinda like channel42 on atlantean.
A chatbot for the sake of roleplay!
Only difference, instead of a frequency on a hamradio its a rougue node in the grid.

/tell Nrpb !join

to join the channel, or use /tell nrpb !addmember <your nick> to put yourself on auto invite.
feel free to tell every roleplayer you know about it.

100% IC, OOC can be marked with (()) and such.

The bot rework left it not accepting self invites, Help! Those of us with auto-invites get in but have to invite anyone else. Once in, it only displays the people on the auto-invite list.

I had to get invited on the other night , but today geting on it fine.
I love this bot , Im very new to the role play communaty , but loveing every
minute of it , As I and one or two others, role play. so it stops me feeling so out there on my own.

Wow, finally joined the comm channel today. Thanx for whoever put this beatiful piece of technology together, I wub you! I probably would have joined sooner, but I had other things occupying my mind. I finally got to see a greenie tonight, as well, and that's what sparked my joining. It's great to be on it, and I'll be there always!

Nrpb is up again. However, I was unable to get a response from any !join command sent to Nrpb. Using !online I contacted Dagget, who was able to use the channel, and asked him to !invite me. This did not work either. Not sure what the problem is, but I'd be grateful if someone could look into it and reply here with a solution. Thanks.

I'm having a similar problem, my character Maelgwn can't access nrpb, the pop-up doesn't appear, neither can I get invited.
Oddly any of my alts can join as they wish.

If you could figure out why that would be great, and I wouldn't mind being on Auto-invite too

my tip is that its on your end, maybe you have soem eird option screwed,
try to get a new std option setting. (hit shift-f9 get your char id, got to your ao/prefs folder, rename the folder with that number, and log back in.)
if that doesnt work I have no idea, but auto invire fixed it for oriitas, I ll add you soon.

there is a backup bot always running called Chan42. Not as fancy but should suffice in a pinch. /tell Chan42 !invite
